Thank you for the Tings, Haruka.

It is always a pity, such amazing stuff get cut from the finished game.

Yeah, I must say, I'm intrigued by this beta element, I do wonder what caused the change, perhaps it just didn't convey the health stats in a clear and meaningful manner?

I thought about it a lot after seeing that video (I might use something similar to it in Dreambound) and I think it covers up too much of the screen.
It's okay for one health bar, but having lots of stats in circles like that (Rayman's health, enemy's health, air meter, etc) can get ugly real quick.
The numbered stats (lums, cages) don't fit with the circles either.

Hehehe, i guess, i found a rare fact instead a picture.

I was on Linkedin and found this guy http://fr.linkedin.com/in/nholleville
If you scroll down, you can see "Raymans Tribe" a canceled game (i guess.)

http://fr.viadeo.com/fr/profile/nicolas.holleville1
Another link, which prove it. What do you guys think??? Could this be true?

Rayman's Tribe? We never heard about it. Could it be a game that is super obscure? I wonder if it is linked with Rayman M/Arena...

Whoa! Amazing find. I looked it up, and it's listed more as "Rayman Tribe" than as "Rayman's Tribe".
According to the game files, the "TRIBE" part of the game is definitely the race mode. My guess is that Rayman Rush is closer to it than Rayman M.

Here's more:
This basically says that Rayman 3, Rayman Tribe and another game called Rayman online were in development for the Dolphin, which later became the Gamecube.

Let's see if I can find out more...

EDIT -> Hmm, never mind. There's no proof of Rayman Online existing - they probably just misunderstood.
EDIT 2 -> Here's a playtest document which describes what Rayman Tribe is. Just the race mode of Rayman M. Rayman Shooting Fish seems to be the development name for the fight mode, as I expected (it's named FISH in the game files, as opposed to TRIBE).
