Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Your project sounds quite interesting; good luck with it. You may wish to read over this thread if you haven't done so already.

I still find it incredible how that user made that new world.

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Sounds like an awesome idea As spiraldoor mentioned, another user called Phoebius also used to work on a homebrew PSP game, and I suggest you contact him, he may prove really useful.

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
You've probably already seen some of Drolpiraat's work, but most of the backgrounds which he extracted weren't posted until the eighth page, so you may not have seen them yet, and they'll certainly come in handy.
Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Wow, amazing rips... and animated gifs! They are really smooth!

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Wow, this is coming along nicely!
Do you mind if I ask what you're writing that in? A lot of 2D PSP homebrew tends to be done with LuaPlayer.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Do you have Rayman Designer? I'm pretty sure you could extract the base tiles directly from the game files.Equilibrium369 wrote:I'm going to split it up into smaller chunks and find a way to repeat the pattern to get different sizes. I still haven't figured out how to get the palette settings right on the spritesheets though

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
If he doesn't, anyone who does can just open the PCX files in Gimp or Photoshop, then save them as PNGs and upload them for him.

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Those don't have everything, though. I could upload PNGs of the add-on PCXs in the Extended Rayman Designer Editor though.
Just give me a minute.

Re: Rayman PSP Homebrew
Well, here are the tile files anyway, in case anyone wants them:

In the ripping topic, MasterRay posted some object sprite rips from Rayman Designer.
