Re: Rayman Redemption
So, Ryemanni claimed in his stream earlier that there is an undiscovered secret in Redemption.

Looks like we've got a mystery on our hands!

Re: SOTM #135 – Freestyle – VOTE!
It's time to vote guys! Voting will end a week from now, and you can choose one or two entries.

Also, the next contest will apparently be themed again. Any ideas for a theme?

Re: Your Pets
Sorry to hear that Stace. :(

If she liked laptops, did she ever walk all over the keyboard, or is that only a cat thing? :P

Re: Suggestion: Rayman Raving Rabbids Xbox 360's graphics on PC
Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Jun 22, 2021 5:48 pm Have you considered using an Xbox 360 emulator? Not sure how good those are, though.
I tried... and it doesn't run that bad but.. it has no music (only sound effects), the save file will always be corrupted for unknown reasons (basically I wasn't able to save) and in a lot of cases the framerate decreases a lot (My GPU is a Nvidia GeForce 940mx, my Memory is 8GB of RAM and my CPU is an Intel Core i5-6200U, up to 2.8GHz) so personally I would prefer to wait until i could find a used copy of that game in my country so for now I'll wait...

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Oh, you must! When I first played it, I was like "where has this been all my life?" Of course, I then played it every month for half a year, and now it kinda bores me :oops2: You can have too much of a good thing!

Re: Rayman M/Arena/Rush speedrunning
I suppose I should try to see what might happen if I took all the energy I've been putting into this and this and threw it at Rayman M instead – a good start would be trying to gather the patience to get through the "On and On" gamemode. :oops2: Of course, since I'm using a HD texture pack, every time I play that mode I get frustrated with loading screens. Then I start thinking about ways to hack it to keep more data in memory, and before I know it I'm back to reverse engineering! :oops2: Another problem is that once I do get the RRR leaderboards working, I'll probably become obsessed with maximizing my score there rather than in Rayman M :fou:

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids leaderboards
Sorry, meant to reply last night – those Xbox 360 codes work too, thanks David :)

I'm working now on converting the game score to an aggregate score out of 1000, which will probably take a few more days. Bear with me ;)

Re: Your Pets
Oh, now that I look at the thread again, I apparently saw Steo's post but forgot to reply to it, my (late) condolences.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids leaderboards
ok, sorry pluM if i´m being annoying

Fourteen years ago, Pirate-Community was created with the goal of bettering and consolidating a Rayman community in very bad shape. It goes without saying that no one expected such a success, let alone the community to still be around after all this time.

Rayman news are scarce these days, and with the only events last year being the announcement of yet another port (Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition) and that of a new title in a now separate series (Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle), it is safe to say that nothing happened in Rayman's world.

The forum is the first to suffer from such a dearth of news, and the 58,704 messages posted last year, for a total of 1,213,836, are the lowest figure since 2005/2006, setting us back to activity levels from over a decade ago. Thankfully, there's a lot more to it, and last year the forum saw a major update with everything being rewritten from scratch and dozens of new features and various improvements being added. A new staff was also elected, the modding and utilities subforum was created, and lots of new contests and various activities were launched.

Last year also saw RayTunes's biggest update since its creation, with a brand new website, an integrated player, the possibility to embed songs on the forum, and plenty of new tracks, among other things. It was a good year for RayWiki too, which now contains 4,784 articles in seven languages, an improvement of 305 over last year.

So, as you've figured out already, there's still a lot going on around here, and this is isn't going to change anytime soon.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

As some members may be aware, Photobucket no longer allows for free hosting of images on third party sites. As such, any signatures or other embedded images that were uploaded to Photobucket will not display on the forums, instead a watermark will take their place.

Members are recommended to migrate to another image host, or use RPC's attachment upload where possible.

RayTunes, our Rayman music archive, has just received its biggest upgrade ever! Apart from its new modern design, RayTunes 5.0 allows you to play every song in the collection on the website itself.
However, the content update is even bigger. Three completely new soundtracks (including the educative games) have been added and many soundtracks have received extra tracks. On top of that, every single soundtrack now has new or improved album art, better track names and tags. An MP3 archive is finally available for each one, as well as a FLAC archive for most.
More detailed info about the update can be found here. Enjoy!

Hi all,

I am happy to announce the return of our Rayman-themed contest, Manipulate the Image!

The goal is simple: take the Rayman-related graphic chosen by the contest's previous winner and modify it to make something amusing. You can essentially modify it any way you want, so don't be shy!
The current season is number 61, and the image to manipulate is Helico Ray. Entries can be submitted up to 9 June. The winner will receive Tings and the right to choose the image to be manipulated in Season 62!

Good luck to all!

Hello all!

I'm pleased to announce a brand new Rayman contest named: "Challenge of the Month". This contest is one where you can earn prizes for being the best in a specific challenge from the main series games. All you have to do is follow what the challenge says, and submit your score through a video.

The first challenge is to complete the Swamps of Forgetfulness bonus level as fast as possible. Remember to head on over to the thread once you're ready to submit your score.

Good luck and may the best competitor win!

Due to the heightened interest in modding and reverse-engineering the Rayman games over the last little while and the array of tools now available to the public enabling them to do so with ease, a new Modding & utilities subforum has been opened up! With relevant information, tools and resources organised and given more visibility than ever before, through the power of modding, we look forward to seeing the community bring us new ways of enjoying our favourite titles in the series!

Hi all,

Pixel Mixers, a community of amateur musicians that make covers of their favourite video game tunes, have made a tribute album consisting of 25 cover songs from the original Rayman game called: Harmony. They worked on this album with support from the original composer of the game, Rémi Gazel.

You can learn more about the tribute here.

Hello all!

A very special milestone approaches for the Teensies Quiz, the RPC trivia game where members are challenged on their Rayman knowledge. To celebrate, a special format is being considered, and we'd like to hear if you agree with having a special format, and if so, what you think of what's been devised thus far.

We're still one quiz away from the 100th, so don't feel rushed, head on over to the Teensies Quiz thread, read over what has been discussed, and voice your thoughts.
