Re: The You Game!
< is still fine with <'s OSSC, though < will still need to get something that can convert both S-video and composite (compos(h)ite as Fifo calls it ) to VGA so < can put it through the OSSC to <'s TV. <'s OLED TV only has HDMI, so it would either have to be that, or something that can just convert the signal straight to digital and output via HDMI. < would prefer a lot input lag solution, but < is aware it's going to be pretty limited. < only needs it for the NES and N64.

Belated Happy Birthday Serza! :teuf:
I'll have you know that you cannot disgrace the Queen like that. :tssk:

Man, I remember those good times where we called her Queen Serza, she still has that nickname on my Discord server to this day.

For anyone curious she seems to be doing alright, I last heard from her on her birthday, actually!

Maybe? Unfortunately never really watched the Simpsons so I have no honest point of reference there.

Regardless, I used April Fools as an excuse for it, and how he is, is the true intended design for him overall. He's my main character that I've put a lot of design into, and he takes a lot after me, like with ADHD and his video game interests. In a way he's a younger me, but who is his own character still. Since he's into sports interests like skateboarding and street hockey where I'm not.

So hopefully that could help more closely answer your question I cannot really answer due to me not being familiar with that episode.

Re: The You Game!
< will hopefully get an order in for the up coming RetroTINK 4k. It looks incredibly promising. Especially since < can no longer use the OSSC in <'s home theater since the surround sound processor isn't happy with the out of spec signals. < had issues with the previous surround sound processor too, but the current one refuses to work with it.

Well, admittedly I pretended that it was for an April Fools joke. :oops2:

I designed Reese to be perpetually pregnant since the day I made him over 10 years ago, it was a time I was more afraid to really say since some people can be quite judgmental and harsh about things. It was however an inspiration from the Sims a long time ago over alien abductions, and I wanted to use that theme and make something a bit different. Thus the perpetual part where he has to live his whole life out like that.

Re: I found the leader of TARC!
Interesting… Do we know who actually wrote / contributed to the documentary? All I know is that it was posted here some years later (after the original had been deleted by KRZK). I had forgotten that remark about Xenon, it's pretty funny!

I'll submit this old APNG again: :hap:

In May I was invited to a community workshop at Ubisoft Milan to playtest Rayman in the Phantom Show. I would like to thank Ubisoft Milan, Davide and the development team for inviting me to the studio. The whole experience was simply quite magical.

The team has worked so hard. To witness the creative processes behind the game development was fascinating. From my experience I wholeheartedly would love to see Ubisoft Milan work on Rayman again in the future.

I can't wait for you all to play the game. So much work has been put into this brand new Rayman adventure. From my experience of visiting the studio you seriously got a sense of how much love the studio has for Rayman.

On behalf of ItzalDrake, I am honored to deliver a personal message from Davide Soliani to the whole community ahead of Rayman in the Phantom Show:
For all of us at Ubisoft Milan who worked on DLC 3, it was a dream come true to be able to bring Rayman back into the Mario + Rabbids universe because Rayman is the first game I made when I joined Ubisoft in 1999.

There I worked on Rayman for GameBoy Color, Rayman's movements, and at the time the designers didn't only make the game structure and the rules but also the levels, so I learned to make my first levels, exploit the limitations of the console and memory limitations and for me so it was a dream to be able to bring back in Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC.

So I hope that the community and all Rayman players support us as much as possible because I'm on a mission: my mission is to be able to bring Rayman back to the glory he deserves.

Among other things, in the DLC there is a secret hidden message that players who will 100% complete the DLC can read!
So I hope for your support and I hope you like it!

Today, we celebrate a remarkable milestone in the history of Pirate-Community: it's with immense joy and pride that we watch as our community turns twenty! Two decades of camaraderie, knowledge sharing, and passion for the Rayman series – it's a journey that began with a small group of fans and has grown into a vibrant and thriving community that stands as a testament to our enduring love for all things Rayman.

As we reflect upon the past year, the most important news is of course the announcement and upcoming release of Rayman in the Phantom Show, the DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope which will mark the return of the limbless hero. We hope for it to be a success and pave for the way for Rayman to come back in his long-awaited fourth adventure.

In terms of research and exploration, this year has been nothing short of exciting. We've witnessed the unveiling of an early version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, featuring platforming and combat elements. The source code and editor published alongside it allowed modders to polish the prototype and release a much-improved version, playable by the everyday fan. The publication of new images originating from the cancelled Rayman 4 by Phoenix Studio also shed light on this elusive prototype. Overall, the modding scene continues to flourish, with innovative patches and enhancements that breathe new life into classic Rayman titles.

The realm of fan games is abuzz with activity too, and the release of Rayman: The Dreamer's Boundary was the highlight of the year in that regard, while the Rayman: Alive livestream gathered an impressive amount of viewers eager to discover the many other fan projects it showcased. The development of projects such as RaymanDesigner.com, a new hub for Rayman Designer levels, also promises a future rich with creative endeavors. Needless to say, we find ourselves awed by the remarkable accomplishments and continued enthusiasm that define our community.

In other news, our third edition of SpeedRay, the speedrunning contest, was a resounding success, celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Rayman 3, showcasing the incredible talent within our community and awarding deserving winners with shiny prizes. The past year also saw the opening of our new Russian-speaking forums, as well as RayWiki joining forces with the Gaming Wiki Network, a network of independently-hosted gaming wikis. Pirate-Community remains a vibrant hub where fans from around the world come together to celebrate their shared passion. The dedication of our members and the tireless efforts of our staff have ensured that this place remains a haven for discussions, discoveries, and delightful interactions.

In terms of statistics, the numbers tell a story of our community's vitality. Over the past year, 8,575 messages were posted on our forum, contributing to a grand total of 1,371,471 messages. RayWiki continues to stand as the ultimate Rayman knowledge hub, with 128 new articles added this year, bringing the total count to an impressive 6,105 across 8 languages.

As we mark this twenty-year milestone, we extend our deepest gratitude to each and every member of our community. Your unwavering support, passion, and camaraderie have made Pirate-Community a place like no other. With the Rayman series holding a special place in our hearts, and with the future holding endless possibilities, we look forward to another twenty years of discovery, discussion, and celebration.

Long live Rayman, and long live Pirate-Community! Cheers to the incredible journey that brought us here, and to the exciting adventures that lie ahead.

The upcoming Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC featuring Rayman will be published on August 30 under the name Rayman in the Phantom Show.
Rayman is back in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope downloadable content “Rayman in the Phantom Show,” launching on August 30 exclusively on Nintendo Switch. In this third and final downloadable content, Rayman will team up with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach as they face the Phantom, a towering, musically inclined enemy previously featured in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

In this new adventure, separate from the main game’s story, the Phantom now works as a studio director at the dramatic Space Opera Network, an uncanny TV studio filled with Easter eggs and props. As the studio’s TV ratings hit a new low, the Phantom needs the help of true stars that can help him return to his former glory.

Players will control Rayman, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Mario as they explore brand-new levels with vertical exploration on a variety of TV studio sets. Rayman can use his haircopter ability to bring his fellow Heroes with him as he jumps. Leverage the full power of Rayman’s arsenal, from his aerial traversal skills to his plunger blaster, to open up new tactical possibilities during battles.

Actor David Gasman reprises his role as Rayman for this downloadable content, with an original soundtrack composed by Christophe Heral (Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends) and Grant Kirkhope.
A new trailer was published alongside the announcement:
