Maybe something like this?

Re: Rayman 2
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. M&M VII’s use of the sample is more subtle and faster paced. It’s more ambient than Rayman 2’s version which really uses it as the meat of the entire track.
It’s always a nice surprise to find things like this while listening to game music, sometimes you can recognise one sample being used across many games. :mryellow:

Just watched it! Very impressive video! I really didn’t though it would be possible to beat most of this game like this!
Your content really deserves more attention!

Re: Rayman 2
Nice find! Indeed it sounds like the same basic sample, although there is some variation - I think the one in M&M VII is a bit faster, and longer?

Re: Rayman 2
While listening to some soundtracks, I’ve noticed a nice little similarity between "Into the Sanctuary of Rock and Fire" from this game and some parts of "Evenmorn Islands" from Might and Magic VII (which released the same year as Rayman 2).

Listen closely to the part after 0:20 and then compare it to most of Rayman 2’s track.

Re: The You Game!
< never did have ECC RAM either. It seems to cost less, but most of the Intel CPUs that < ever used didn't support it and < always needed to use non-ECC. < discovered that ECC can be used with a Ryzen depending on which motherboard a person has. < still has non-ECC RAM at the moment too, but < never had an issue like ^^ so far, unless maybe it did happen before and < just assumed that < done something wrong. < does remember an unstable overclock causing instability issues while compiling though, and even wondering why the Gentoo kernel kept failing to compile back when < was trying it out.

Re: The You Game!
< thought that was an interesting read. < did buy non ECC RAM for <'s build without knowing about these things.

Rayman Revolution ?

Re: Rayman 1
I'm not sure if they're saying it was to be a port of the Jaguar version. They're just saying that the game is on Jaguar, and now it's being ported to 32X. Remember, the guys who wrote this most likely had no idea that the Jaguar version was any different from the others, especially since none of them were released yet.

It's hard to tell from the footage that exists: viewtopic.php?p=1416138#p1416138 – can anyone tell if things like the jump height look more like Jaguar or PS1?

Today, Pirate-Community celebrates its seventeenth birthday. While there hasn't been much Rayman news besides the release of the Rayman Mini spin-off, our community is still thriving, with many discoveries being made regarding the early development and the mechanics of old Rayman games, lots of tools being released to mod them and improve them, as well as partnerships such as the one with Rayman Together on Twitter.

Over the last year, 17,104 messages were posted on the forum, adding to a total of 1,336,695. It's not a lot, but it's still very much alive! Most of our growth was fueled by that of RayWiki, with 424 new articles last year, and a total of 5,728 articles in 8 languages today. Both places are still the reference for Rayman discussions and Rayman knowledge, while RayTunes, with the recent addition of the Rayman Mini, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and the official Tonic Trouble soundtracks, as well as new tracks and FLAC versions from various educational and mobile games, is indeed the reference for Rayman music.

Thank you all for your continued support: you made it possible for this community to keep going for seventeen years, and we will keep going for many more.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

RayTunes, our Rayman music archive, has just received a big content update!

This one includes the long-awaited Rayman Mini soundtrack, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, and a very rare official soundtrack for Tonic Trouble.

On top of that, the Rayman 1 and Rayman Adventures soundtracks have also received additional tracks.

Enjoy!

Ubisoft have released an announcement trailer for Rayman Mini.

Rayman Mini will have a similar gameplay style to the previous UbiArt mobile games, and it will feature 48 levels, including boss fights. Rayman, Globox and Barbara will be playable characters with unlockable outfits. Teensies will not be playable, and the antagonist seems to be the Flaming Teensy, who is seen shrinking Rayman near the beginning of the announcement trailer.

Rayman Mini is scheduled for release on September 23rd, 2019.

Today marks the sixteenth birthday of Pirate-Community. It is an impressive figure for what started as a small fan community, and this was only made possible thanks to the loyalty of its members and the dedication of its staff during all these years.

Yet there are many more birthdays to come! Despite the complete lack of Rayman news, the community is still strong, and while it may not see as much activity as it used to, it's still the one and only place for Rayman fans to go. In fact, with only 39,217 messages posted during the last twelve months, this is the quiestest year in the history of the forum, which now totals 1,319,591 posts.

RayWiki, however, has made good progress, with a Russian version being created, the first language addition since 2015. With 5,304 articles in 8 languages, it is the world reference when it comes to Rayman, and while this figure gives us an increase of 138 articles from last year, the real figure is actually between 300 and 400 due to an error, now fixed, in the way statistics were previously calculated.

Meanwhile, RayTunes still sees a lot of visits from music enthusiasts all around the world, and is so complete that it is now difficult to think of new additions to it!

Overall, things have been calm, but the community is still here, ready to boom shall Ubisoft decide one day to revive the Rayman series. In the meantime, we will keep working hard on the websites you love, and make sure that their incredible content is always there for you.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!
