Yeah that would have to be my only issue with it. That better be some damn good cardboard for $80. I am aware it comes with a game but I still can't possibly imagine $80 is a good price for what's included.

Anyway, like others here have said, I'm sure it'll be good stuff for kids, I'm sure I'd definitely love to play with it as a kid. Though it's hard to picture any adult male or female playing with this without looking like a bit of a manchild.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Yeah I think the core concept is rather charming in it's own right but even if it does technically come with a game that's a rather hefty asking price for it, albeit I am not too familiar with how much such cardboard kits would cost on their own. I'm also concerned about how durable they are and the fact it doesn't seem to come with cut outs if you need pieces replaced.

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Hi guys! I recently made the Rayman 2 Prerelease article for The Cutting Room Floor (TCRF) https://tcrf.net/Prerelease:Rayman_2:_The_Great_Escape. In it, I documented the most important steps and changes in development, using for this lots of digital press kits, and internet research (Rayman Pirate Community was a lot of help too, specially in the 2D cutted version). You maybe want to check it for new unseen content. That content can also be used to update the wiki here if needed.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
In fairness, they did say it's meant for kids, so while I can sort of sympathise with some of the salt, I think folks are being a bit too bitter.

Personally, while I do admit it's a bit on the gimmicky side, I find the idea rather endearing. The packs do seem to be a bit more intricate than just putting cardboard together, and while it's not LEGO, it does seem to be a fun way of doing construction kits for kids. The big ask I'd imagine, is the price, from what I've read they're in the $70-$80 range.

That's cool! That would allow to make custom Rayman PSX games, or porting Rayman to new platforms (like HTML5) using the original level files.

Re: Does anybody know how to extract Rayman's sprites from RRR (JAVA)?
Yes, some of the graphics from the game are in PNG format like file st with the RRR logo. Others like l0a01 with the level graphics are in a 8bit palette format. None of the files contained in the JAR have extension, so you must guess what kind of file is each one (with an hex editor, for example).
