Re: What games are you currently playing?

Highly doubt anyone reads these anymore, but I may as well leave my thoughts: Persona 2: Eternal Punishment Not as strong as Innocent Sin's plot, but it is the conclusion to the duology, and on that note, it succeeds. This game seriously has a major case of groundhog day, events from Innocent Sin re...

Re: What games are you currently playing?

Great review Rayfist! I look forward to seeing what you think of Eternal Punishment! I think the PSP remake of this is in Japanese, but the original has an English version I think. (Japanese...yet another language I wish to learn). Thanks, Jonster. I'm playing through it currently at a fairly slow ...

Re: E3 2018

Forgot to post about my thoughts on Nintendo's E3 this year: Chances are, if you aren't a Smash fan, this direct probably left you feeling super dry. Much like how E3 2016 was almost entirely devoted to Breath Of The Wild, E3 2018 was focused almost entirely on Smash. Not to give Smash TOO much cred...

Re: What games are you currently playing?

All this E3 commotion got me distracted but: Persona 2 Innocent Sin: Wow, just wow. From start to finish I don't think I've ever experienced a Persona game with a plot as batshit insane as Innocent Sin's. From start to finish I was hooked on this one, it not only had one of the best stories of any P...

Re: E3 2018

Update (apologies for double post) Square Enix was seriously underwhelming, they showed us stuff we all knew was coming, and no updates for the FFVII remake. They showed the Quiet man and Babylons fall without any gameplay really. I am really stoked for the new Dragon Quest, but again, we all knew t...

Re: E3 2018

I also completely lost interest in Cyberpunk 2077 What? That looked anything but generic to me. I know the whole "what if, civilization were made up of androids" concept is being overused now, especially with Detroit: become human, but that game looked like it was gonna be a lot fun. I hope I can w...

Re: E3 2018

Oh I guess there were far more than I gave credit for, I thought stuff like Tunic was gonna end up coming out on all consoles, but I guess it's exclusive?

I got mixed up with the whole world premiere and exclusive stuff (especially since they presented PUBG as an exclusive LOL)

Re: E3 2018

Watched majority of Microsoft, and a lil bit of Bethesda. Microsofts was EXCELLENT in terms of third party showings, that Devil May Cry 5 reveal took me by surprise, which will be running on the Resident Evil 7 engine, those character models look DAMN good (Capcom's been killing it lately, they real...

Re: Music you are listening to now!

Edit: Oops, I forgot you just started playing it. My apologies that I unintentionally may have thrown a foreshadowing hint out there. What? That Jun is Joker? I kind of had an idea. If you deduct everything, Jun was the only one who was absent from the group, and Joker wanted the group to remember ...

Re: Music you are listening to now!

Persona 2 got a really kickass soundtrack, I just started playing through it so can't wait to share thoughts on it after beating :)

Maya's theme is definitely my fav.

Re: What games are you currently playing?

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (PSP) Man, it was very interesting going back to this one. Having played Persona 3-5, I wanted to experience the series roots. My expectation wasn't super high going into this game, and I left with basically what I expected. However, some of the characterization did surpa...

Re: Do you still play PS2?

Few games though like MGS 3 Snake Eater and Shadow of The Colossus were given the 60 fps treatment when being ported in HD, so often the HD versions are the better ones to play. The only instance I can think of where the HD version was actually worse were the Silent Hill titles and Zone Of The Enders.

Re: Do you still play PS2?

PS2 was definitely the best console of that generation, it seemingly had everything. Platformers, RPGs, shooters, etc.

I'd say the gamecube only wins in terms of party games. So yeah, PS2 is still highly worth playing. Although a lot of the best games ended up being ported in HD now.
