Yup, because it was to big and people wouldnt want to be always downloading the newest episode and also because fans asked for a full retail version instead.

Found this, in there Michel Ancel explains why Rayman Origins went from Episodic to full retail game. (Its in Brazilian Portuguese)
Edit: Found that in diffrent sites and all say it will also be realesed in Vita & 3DS, I dunno why.

So he is just standing right there while Rayman and the other guys beat the crap out the darktoons

Lots of game characters lack their trademark move in various games, like Sonic who stop using the Spin Dash in Sonic Colors and mario doesnt use mushrooms in mario 64/mario galaxy for exemple and basically no one gives a damn about it since the games where good even without those things.

I have an old TV, about 15 Inches, with one of those round screens (don't know how they're called), to which a Wii is plugged. The TV in my living room is even smaller, but my brother has an LCD 32 inch screen in his room, so I guess when I'll want to feast on RO's visuals, I'll plug the Wii there ...

I currently only have an SD TV in my room and my PS3 doesn't exactly look sharp on it, so hopefully I'd like to be able to get a HD TV sometime around getting Origins.

I have a Full HD television in my living room, but no PS3/Xbox 360. I guess we are equal.

btw, did anyone hear Ancel in the video? He says that Mr. Dark will be there, and that there will also be a "crazy English hunter". i don't know if he means the regular hunter, but I'm pretty sure he means an actual antagonist which will be a major boss.
