Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Also, I forgot to mention Got4n found Miss Black Bunny's portrait in the files, though the palette was missing. This was also around the time the story was discovered, so half a year ago. You can still vaguely see her face though: https://i.imgur.com/y2aUkZd.png Looks like she was supposed to be a f...

Re: Project: UnLockRay ( ULR / REL )
Those interested can follow Raymap's progress here. It's already released since a month or two ago and it's very easy to use. I recommend checking it out, it's the culmination of the UnLockRay project so far and you can discover a lot of new Rayman things in it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rayman/comme...

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I'll just leave this here in the hope it'll get archived somewhere on the internet at least. We discovered this half a year ago but no one shared it. Scrapped Rayman Raving Rabbids DS story ([ANNOTATIONS] added by me, source: the RRR DS rom. It's not difficult to check, just open the rom in a hex ed...

Re: Crash Bandicoot
Oh neat, they're patching things for the N. Sane Trilogy: https://www.resetera.com/threads/crash-n-sane-multiplatform-switch-one-cart-no-dl-pc-60fps-fixes-improvements-on-all-platforms.48673/ Hopefully the hitbox problem is solved (or at least partly). Despite Crash 2 being less precision-focused it...
Re: E3 2018
Hmmm. I'm a bit disappointed that I was looking forward to this E3. EA was EA. Microsoft was great, had many announcements, but not much that really grabbed me. Bethesda was logo announcements. Square Enix was too short and I have no idea why they hyped it up so much. Babylon's Fall could be interes...
Re: E3 2018
Microsoft was a great show, but almost everything that looked good is still also on other platforms. I also completely lost interest in Cyberpunk 2077 due to how generic it looked, but I'm excited to get Tales of Vesperia (though I would have preferred any other Tales, since ToV is one of the only o...
Re: Rayman 2
Was it known that the butterflies in Rayman 2 were already called Popolopoï ? "popolopoi" is the internal object family name for all butterflies.

Re: [Rayman Revolution] Importing VSC.BF
Trying to get into ripping? Nice! :) I remember that the main BF file had a .DSC file that came along with it and stored the offsets and sizes of all files in the BF file, but I don't remember if the music BF came with one or not. If it has one, you should first extract the individual files or you'l...

Re: MIssplaced Gems in rayman 3?
Interesting, though it's too bad you can't access the first tower afterwards. DId you ever release this level editor? I don't remember if you did or not. I posted a release in the UnLockRay thread: https://raymanpc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1274936#p1274936 I only started working on it last month s...

Re: MIssplaced Gems in rayman 3?
Stuff like this is really easy to check in my level viewer/editor.

This is on PC, but the ghost tower is just accessible by using the portal anyway so there's no point in moonjumping there.

Awesome! It seems to work really well already!
Will you eventually put the source online too?

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
There's no point in checking RRR for unused stuff anymore. I recently made a level viewer for the Xbox 360 version of RRR (check the UnlockRay thread) and besides sound, everything unused is just gone. For the Wii and PC versions, I made a new BF extraction script that also extracts folder names (by...

Re: A new update for Ray2Get
Very cool! And thank you so much for putting the code and documentation online! I haven't had the time to look at it yet, but I do have a quick question to see if I understood correctly: The music files provided with Rayman 2 were encoded with standard IMA ADPCM and the old Ray2Get used standard IMA...

Re: Your favorite nymph from Rayman Origins
My favourite is Scrapped Nymph . Such a great name, and she looks kinda nice. Seriously though, out of all of these I'd choose Voodoo Mamma/Fée de la Mort. Mostly because of my own headcanons (though very logical and researched headcanons) and the story that I have created for her for Dreambound (sh...

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
2D images in the background are a common technique games (especially older ones) use to create the illusion of crowds. It's easier to render a few hundred planes with a single texture than a single 3D model, and if they're in the background people will notice less. The final version of RRR also does...

Re: Project: UnLockRay ( ULR / REL )
Rayman 3: Revenge of the Matuvus https://i.imgur.com/p9FVqZo.png (PC version) This change was done purely within the development version of my level viewer (i.e. not the version linked above) which now has a save button that saves all of the changes made to object positions, rotations and scale. As...

Re: Project: UnLockRay ( ULR / REL )
Here's a super early release of R3MAP for those who want to try it out: https://mega.nz/#!wWgDQL7I!NzbGsnB7vcQrQl8tDCEUc-wQafKU0LS5CVi7tXDjnMU edit -> Please don't download this version as as of June, this is super old and I will be sharing a much more up to date version soon. It works with both Ra...

Re: What makes Rayman Music so good!?
I think they're great soundtracks, but to say they're the best... well, it's a matter of personal taste of course, but you probably haven't played a lot of games with great soundtracks yet. I prefer most soundtracks by: Nobuo Uematsu (e.g. Final Fantasy VI/VII/VIII/IX, Lost Odyssey) Yasunori Mitsuda...

Was this interview with Frederic Houde posted on RPC before? http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/frederic-houde-rayman/
It's from a week ago or so, and I found it quite interesting. Too bad that other SNES Rayman cartridge that he found won't launch! Wonder if it can be fixed somehow...
