I tried my controller with Rayman 3 and it works. I didn't tested Rayman 2 with the controller because I had some problems with the installation...

Try "Troubleshooting Compatibility"! I had a problem very similar to yours, and i solved so!
If this doesn't work the cd is corrupt and you have to buy another one!
