Just to go back to RO's sales, I think it's really, really, really unfair of Ubi to hold BG&E2 to ransom over it. RO is not exactly a perfect indicator for how BG&E2 will sell and it seems to me that it would affect of future rayman titles much more.
Of course the sad part is that RO really was ...

Re: Rayman Origins
Well, I finally got around to finishing rayman origins having gotten it for christmas and...this is my new favourite platformer. Honestly, this game is like gaming perfection, and it's not often these days that I keep coming back to something not for the characters or story or exploration or ...

Re: Rayman Origins
Ah, I got ya, but does he ever actually appear like that in-game? I won't lie, I'd be kinda disappointed if he didn't turn up like that for a brief comic moment.

Re: Rayman Origins
Regarding the continuity between the games – I’ve been under the impression that Origins marks a ‘new beginning’ for the series. The first three games had only a loose continuity with minimal references, and each seemed to take place in its own world, but the purpose of Origins is to retcon them ...

Re: Rayman Origins
It's okay, I actually am quite a massive douchebag. Just ask everyone here about the time I said I disliked rayman 2
And ahh, basically anal is like being really OCD- in this case it's not letting anything be vague, everything has to be final and definite in the history of rayman.

Re: Rayman Origins
I fail to see how my response has at all pointed me out to be childish. I've already said that I can't figure out this forums spoiler system (too used to spoiler boxes elsewhere) so I've mixed up who thinks what. Whoever thinks ubi's original intent for Mr Dark, which is clearly present in the ...

Bollocks, there's being anal but there's also missing really obvious nods. So it turns out it might actually be Spiraldoor I agree with. Just as well he edits the wiki then, and not you :V

@sergiomonty-Now wait a minute, just because one thing is cut out doesn't mean it's all cut out completely or not hinted at. Look back at the office in the last room, look at the posters. When I see them, the evidence seems overwhelming. What would you rather have, the optimistic view that doesn't ...

Re: Rayman Origins
I'm going to break my vow of silence for 2 reasons
1- because I'm pretty much hated around here right now so I'm not really too bothered about telling Spiraldoor that he's wrong, I have my own moderators elsewhere who I get along just fine with so I'm not afraid of no ghost
2-Because Rayman ...

*Snip: Patronising gibber removed*
I mean, if you really hate new things that bad, go and stay in the past and play the same games over and over again. Even better, just stick with Nintendo. They've been putting out the same crap with different names over and over for the last two decades :V ...

Re: Rayman Origins
Seriously K.NARREN you are the most obnoxiously arrogant, self-important person who has absolutely little to no respect for anyone else's opinion- do you really feel the urge to fly into full paragraphed tirade every time someone has a different opinion to you? Its honestly quite childish. If you ...

I'm sorry, but you have got to be joking.
Wratch of cortex was a carbon copy of the original games- but not even a good carbon copy! I don't mind if the games go back to the series roots, but only if they're good! WOC had shitty controls, a terrible physics engine that even ND managed better on ...

Re: Rayman Origins
Moskito looks awesome, they kinda got the quality of the original and then creatively spliced him with a pig. Incredibly psyched that the entire game is hand drawn.

Hey, I'm not the one being silly, I'm treating him like a human being :V
And yes, Rabbids the mini game extravagnaza is what he put his face on. I have the trailers, magazine interviews and everything. Caffineman musta gotten them all distracted.

I'm not being unfair at all. He made it very clear that it was his idea and that he wanted to be the face behind it.
See, you treat him like a god. I love what he's doing with RO by cutting out the bull and having fun, but it doesn't mean he made major mistakes.

Re: Rayman Origins
I feel the argument is relevant for me because i'm not sure if I'd want to come back. Seems like R2 has brainwashed the entire Rayman contingent, despite everywhere else I've been accepting the game as otherwise. Which it is. I've not been convinced otherwise here.

Re: Rayman Origins
Of course it would matter if a Rayman game took a more concrete approach. The previous games were fantastical, and making the series more down-to-earth would take away its surreal charm. Ancel would have plugged his BG&E ideas into Rayman 3 rather than going to the trouble (and risk) of launching a ...
