Re: TTQ: Season 126 - Steo

19001? (this is a guess, believe it or not; I recall most of them end with 1).

Re: Rayman 2

As a small note on the side, there is a page where you can view all new uploads with a preview of the respective images ( here or here ). I actually didn't know that until recently. :P Nice! Thanks for sharing. I tried to view some models - two from R2, two from R3; the first three of them were men...

Re: TTQ: Season 126 - Steo

Oh, this is easy, cause I just replayed some parts of that awfulness recently.

It's Rivers of Murk and Bog of Murk. Though I'm not entirely sure what the order is.

Re: Rayman 2

Regarding the isometric ones, they're likely still better than just using in game screenshots, but I'm sure if there's any that looked strange, they could always be revised later. I agree with Steo here. I looked at the images that 1234 uploaded: https://raymanpc.com/wiki/script-en/index.php?limit=...

I think checkpoint lums are still green in R3 GBA. White ones are extra lives.

Re: Rayman Glitches

This is very weird indeed. On Rayman PC you can type the POWERS and ALWORLD cheats to unlock all powers and levels at the very beginning of the game, and I don't recall it broke any stages. Except of course, the Betilla stages don't show anymore.

Re: Rayman 3

I only play stuff via emulators cause it allows me to use my keyboard.

I think Jungle Run and Fiesta Run were the first Rayman games I've played on the systems they were intended to be played on.

Re: Rayman Legends

As far as I know, all characters in Origins and Legends are just skins. They all play the same. But indeed, other than the warrior princesses (which are also basically palette swaps), I don't recall any new personalities in Legends other than Rayman, Globox and Teensies, which already existed in Ori...

Re: Rayman 3

Probably something that was cut for a reason, as opposed to 2D Nightmare where it was a schoolchild programming error that left it inaccessible. Actually, the off-by-one programming error is something very common, even with the most experienced programmers. What's shocking is that they never tested...

Of the main series: Rayman 1 (including ports such as Rayman Advance) and Rayman Origins. I don't know about all the spin-offs.

Re: What do you think is the worst version of Rayman 2?

Well, for starts, in the historical context, the original versions included N64, PSX, PS2, PC and DC, so that's what people were rating and comparing. Others came out later. Among the original releases, N64, PC and DC have pretty much the same content (DC has that little extra bonus section), PS2 ve...

I'm on Windows and it just worked for me. It came prepackaged with a a preconfigured DOSBOX. Hardly a legal distribution, so I'm not sure I should share it here, but assuming you are a Hebrew speaker, search for "מסע אל העבר"...

Re: Ubisoft Deleted Jungle/Fiesta Run?

Jungle Run was a lot of fun. Fiesta Run, it was fun too but I don't like to replay levels over and over just to get enough lums to unlock things is all. Yeah, I never bothered unlocking anything in Fiesta Run. Like, other than paying 5000 lums to open up the Candy World, I didn't buy any costumes, ...

Re: Rayman 1

One such level has you find all the numbers that have "one" in their name. I am pretty sure they ask for numbers with 1 as digit, not "one" as word contained in the number name. (and I think even the instructions say so explicitly) kids should know that 612 have the digit 1 even though it is named ...

Re: Rayman 1

Inspired by this recent discussion, I fired up my copy of the Hebrew Rayman Junior (that teaches math), and found that the translation broke some aspects of the game. There exist levels where you are supposed match numbers to their pronunciation. One such level has you find all the numbers that have...

Re: Ubisoft Deleted Jungle/Fiesta Run?

Having this old Android tablet that I got as a gift and couldn't find a use for, I decide to give Rayman mobile games a serious try. Beat Jungle Run, and it was quite a pleasant experience. The mechanics of Origins were translated well, and the simplified levels and controls are exactly what was rig...

I don't think I ever hated it. I appreciated the challenge. :D

He is currently stuck in Beneath The Sanctuary of Rock and Lava. The height control while flying over lava is giving him more trouble than I thought it would.

(Rayman 3 on gba is torture if you ask me)
I don't recall it being overly hard. Longish, yes, but with enough variety to keep it from being boring, and each level is short enough.

What's Torture (with a a capital T) is Hooldums' Revenge, and that's because of the engine's flaws and limitations.
