Oh this is one mighty juicy find. I can’t help but think that the art style here looks like it *could* be by Susuma Matsushita aka the Famitsu magazine artist, but I could be wrong. And at that, I don’t think a) I ever recall Rayman 1 being on PC in Japan, and 2) the consoles had a full translation....

Finally got a chance to take a look now that I'm home and on my desktop and I gotta say I'm mighty impressed! I love that you can go through different objects and their animations (like Ly swimming?? I don't recall her ever swimming in the Walks). It would also be super handy for artists as reference.

Would have thought Asterix would be more well known given that it's been around since the 60s (12 Tasks of Asterix is a great movie BTW). It wouldn't shock me if Asterix had some kind of influence on Rayman games though (the whole Globox and plum juice thing for example).

I had a few dabbles with the game on the Switch and well, the game itself is ok but hot damn it has some dire sound direction. I like the art style though and I'm hoping someday someone can rip the Rayman and co sprites. =D
Ok so as of now I've been to four European countries and then America and about four Caribbean islands. Most recently went to the Netherlands for a wedding. Would like to keep the ball rolling with travelling.
