Re: The travel topic

The last time I had a trip away was staying at a lodge park in Yorkshire back in 2023 and that was so we could go to a small Sonic convention in York city centre. Also stopped by at a railway museum. The lodge was nice, it had a hot tub and we saw hares and stuff.

Re: Garlic bread

It's been a few weeks since I last got garlic bread actually, for a while I had this habit of buying baguettes from co-op when they're reduced and putting my own garlic butter or margarine on to save a bit of money.

Re: Kingdom Hearts

I've still not played a Kingdom Hearts game to this day and while I appreciate that people like them, it's good great music and such I'm not interested at this time I'm afraid.

Telegraph from OMD

Too bad this wasn't at that concert I went to either but it grew to be a favourite all the same.

Re: Music from the past vs. Today's music

I ticked both in this poll because sure there's a lot of great old music, sure most current chart music sucks, but I'm always excited to hear new music from my favourites, Yesterwynde from Nightwish being an example of how really pumped I got.

Another Life by Kano, one of lots of Italo disco tracks I fell in love with for the past few years

Re: Tily Haters Club

I still don't like that Ly was swapped for Tily but for some time I had this headcanon of Tily being a "person of Phrys" that Ly supposedly dresses like according to some prerelease Rayman 2 things. Do absolutely take that with a grain of salt. ^^;;

Re: France

We would love to go back to the Netherlands too and actually give Rotterdam a proper shot, the only reason we didn't and went to Amsterdam for the day instead was because we wanted to check out the pinball museum but it was closed on Tuesdays.

Re: Do you still buy DVDs/Blu-ray?

I think my bluray drive on my PC was supposed to write discs but I don't think I got it to work well, either that or never tried it at all. It would be cool to make my own blurays of shows from Netflix like the Cuphead show but oh well.

Re: France

Not to say we're going on any kind of holiday anytime soon but any recommendations for what parts of France to visit in the future would be good. In 2018 I almost went to Le Havre but we had our cruise redirected to Rotterdam instead because of industrial strikes at that time.

“What Is Love” is another good one from him, from the same album

Ooh ok I could check it out. He was actually a guest for OMD last year but only for the show at London and I would have much preferred to see him over that support act they had for the rest of that tour.

Speaking of OMD, I'm ...

I sure like the weird juxtapositions of any films I go and see, these are what I saw this month.

Re: Do you still buy DVDs/Blu-ray?

Nah that was a case of a BBC film released by Severin that didn't have as good of a HD transfer in America as it did back in the UK.

Re: France

Oh I absolutely felt that trying to speak French in France, it's like I tried my best when ordering train tickets, food and stuff but somehow even when I thought I did something right it felt wrong and at Disneyland they'd end up switching to English anyways.

My whole experience in that area was a ...

Re: Do you still buy DVDs/Blu-ray?

Yeah we don't even have a 4k player in the house or even a 4k TV so that's out of the question for now. So far I've only ripped two blurays, one of which was an American one which I swapped for a British one eventually so hehe still have the not so great quality rip at hand to compare with the much ...

Re: Do you still buy DVDs/Blu-ray?

Oooh don't get me started on trying to view blurays in VLC. Sometime last year I was able to rip a bluray that came out in February 2024 with MakeMKV as even with updating the keydb database thing it must have been too new at that time and not added so I couldn't view it in VLC, ripping was my only ...
