Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Since there's been a quite few Redemption challenges lately, I like the idea of a Rayman 3 session more. It also looks like all the previous Rayman 3 challenges were score-based, so maybe it would be interesting to speedrun a section this time? We would probably have to disallow the use of major gl...

Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Thanks and congrats to all participants as well! To be honest, right now I can't really think of any challenge. Looking at the first page, it seems like a Rayman 1 challenge is dating furthest back (unless you count Redemption). Otherwise I guess it'd be time for either R3 or RO. If anyone has any i...

Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Great job, I'll definitely give it a try soon, not that I plan on improving my submission (I've got too many other things to take care of), but it's the occasion to give LiveSplit a try and get to understand how it works, as I've never used it before. Thanks! Actually, two or three weeks ago I didn...

Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Just for fun I've created the autosplitter script I mentioned in my previous post. It should automatically start the timer as soon as you start racing and stop the timer at the end of the race as you stop moving. I did a quick test, and it seemed to work quite accurately (maybe +-1 frame or so). It ...

Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Nice work, PluM! Thanks for figuring this out. So, their questionable decision to use an integer for the ms count is basically the reason for this inaccuracy; interesting. I wonder what might have prompted them to do that... Anyway, unless I miscalculated, my time should be 1'28"63. How easy wo...

Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Unfortunately, it's actually not really consistent. Sometimes it even happens that I get a better in-game time for a worse run and vice versa. The only thing that seems consistent is that the in-game timer always(?) shows a smaller time than it should. A first idea would be that the checkpoints some...

Re: Challenge of the Month #15 - The Walk of Life
Thanks for reminding me. :P Here's my submission: tshepKOlbm0 The in-game timer shows 1'25"13, but in real time it's probably more as the timer isn't reliable whatsoever. Since I don't know what rules apply for this challenge I also measured the time for the entire level compliant with the rule...

Re: Raym.app - Online Rayman map viewers
That's a ghostly butterfly :o Interesting though, I hadn't thought that that could happen, but it makes sense. This is due to how I've implemented transparent screenshots. Unity doesn't support this out of the box -- I'm using a solution I found online that takes 2 screenshots with black and white ...

Re: Raym.app - Online Rayman map viewers
The web version has now been updated to include those alternate palette animations :) You'll see them in the animSet drop-down as different versions of the same set, with a number after the name. Thank you! Nice work. Some of the skins I didn't even know/notice before. :o Incidentally, when you tak...

Ah ok, that's interesting! A bit unfortunate maybe, but it doesn't matter too much. Thx.

Re: Raym.app - Online Rayman map viewers
Thanks for all the work you've put into this! As someone who uses this every now and then, I definitely appreciate it. :mryellow: Incidentally, is there a way in Ray1Map to view the different skins of certain objects? E.g. in Hoodlums' Revenge a Teensie can appear in four different colors, yet in Ra...

Re: Rayman 3 scores
First things first: Happy new year everyone! :) Awesome findings Cut, and even more impressive score! Getting the Triple Glitch must have felt like winning the lottery. This definitely won't be beaten anytime soon. :o Finding another 6.5k points in BOM is probably just wishful thinking, even wi...
Re: Rayman 3
Thanks! It'd actually be quite nice to have the additional gems in SBTC2 available. I wonder whether there is a way to make them spawn... :?: Regarding the red Lum in TOTL1 that is partially inside a wall: It might not be apparent in the video, but, if you approach the Lum the intended way, i.e. fro...
Re: Rayman 3
Recently I used Raymap to somewhat systematically find all the interactable objects (gems, red Lums etc) that the devs forgot to remove or accidentally put somewhere out of bounds. Since I thought some of you might also be interested in this, I've put all the findings together in one video which you...

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
Thanks! :) Yes, "Resistance" and "Attacks" might come in handy in some cases. Maybe something like "Point value" could also be added for certain R3 objects, i.e. the amount of points you get for destroying/interacting with the respective object. So far, I think this inf...

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
I agree that in this case the first one looks best. Also, just nitpicking here but only the word Lum should be capitalized, meaning it's "light blue Lums". We only use title case when it comes from official material. All right, done! Since I couldn't find a fitting template for the infobo...

Thanks! Maybe next time I'll use Tily. Then maybe more people will be motivated to also participate in the challenges.

Re: Challenge of the Month #13 - Treasure Ship
To single-handedly double the amounts of entries, I gave the challenge a try and got a 41.984. Since my button mashing skills are rather bad, I'm sure it can still be improved by several seconds, but oh well. Also, sorry for the laggy video.

Re: The final version of RayWiki is available!
This is what we usually do when the official name is unknown, for example with red monsters . Ah ok, I didn't know that. In this case, Marsh mosquito it is! :mryellow: Incidentally, do you know how the R3 screenshots on the Wiki were taken? I don't see a way to get rid of the HUD (at least not with...

Re: Ripping Murfy's Model?
I'm not sure whether Raymap has an own function to export models (though I wouldn't be surprised if it had). However, Unity has a package called 'fbx exporter' which you can download with the package manager in Unity. This lets you export models as .fbx files by right klicking on the desired object ...
