Re: francais help

Just place them in the same place as you would in English: Five apples becomes cinq pommes and Rayman three thousand becomes Rayman trois mille. Don't worry, French is a language that's very easy to learn. Just read a bit of French every day and write a bit of French every day and you'll understand ...

Re: What games are you currently playing?

Jak II. It's awesomely hard. I love how it's so much darker than the first one. And thank god you can toggle Jak's goatee. (I hope I can do that in number 3 too.) AWAY WITH LONG FACIAL HAIR *fist in the air* Can you toggle Jak's goatee? How? Oh, and look in the mirror in the Hip Hog Haven Saloon fo...

Re: Rayman 3D

Are you saying that everyone who develops cures to rare diseases is doing so at a loss? Yes. But that is irrelevant here. It was a comparison to make a point clear. And it actually is valid for obvious reasons. That sure has some interesting implications, but what the fuck does it have to do with U...

Re: Rayman 3D

Nonsense. Cures for rare diseases can be patented and marketed. Alien lifeforms could hold unimaginable monetary potential. What gives you the idea that these things are not profitable? It’s baffling that you could actually believe this. You really don't get economy do you? Your first argument is b...

Re: Rayman 3D

Where did I even say that I won't enjoy the game because it has been ported nine times? To be honest, I'm not talking from a logical perspective. Economically speaking it is indeed a very good idea to use existing ideas as much as possible. But to be honest I don't really think that's what should be...

Re: Rayman 3D

Why on earth should a game be consigned to ‘the history books’? Do you seriously want Ubisoft to stop porting and re-releasing Rayman 2 so that only the surviving copies of the current versions will be available to future generations? I guess we should stop re-printing decade-old books too. That's ...

Re: Rayman 3D

To be honest I'm quite tired of Rayman 2 as well. I believe it's the most beautiful game ever made. But it had it's glory and now it's just time to let it go into the history books. I was hoping that this would be a new platformer in the style of Rayman 2, but I guess looking back at previous years ...

@LOVE_METAL: you mean desktop Linux users, right? Since I honestly won't believe that somebody here doesn't use some form of Linux on a daily basis. Honestly, almost anything that isn't a desktop, laptop, iDevice or Windows Phone 7 smartphone and that has a CPU runs Linux these days.

Re: Your Computers

Oh, like that. But then it's definitely the power supply ( if the motherboard is dead some lights should still be burning and the fans should still go on ). And, well, you should probably wait to buy a new power supply when you have a lot of money again. Decent ( as in reliable and efficient ) power...

Re: Your Computers

I'm already an experienced Gimper :) - but haven't tested Inkscape yet. What I'd LOVE to is try Krita, which hasn't got a Windows port yet. Really? Oh, goodie, that's great, a big hug for you! :D I've never tested Krita, but it's nice as far as I've heard in Ubuntu circles. It's the image editor on...

Actually, Jullia_Patti, Ubuntu Studio is primarily geared towards music production. That's becausing setting up GNU\Linux as a platform for proffesional recording or music production is very hard ( but very, very satisfying ). That's why Ubuntu Studio was created: to make it easy to do this. Now I'...

Re: The first Internet surfing

Internet not as in chatting forums, just browsing.
But even then, what's the point in surfing if you can't read anything? :P
Ah well, I guess it was more playing a handful of flash games over and over again then anything else.

Re: The first Internet surfing

Well, when I was six I could barely read the words maan, roos and vis ( that's Dutch for moon, rose and fish respectively ), let alone use a computer, or let alone what they were. :P

No offense, but really, what is a six year old kid going to do on the internet?

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark

Wait, since when exactly where enemies like the stone men and the livingstones minions of Mister Dark? If I recall correctly, these were just regular baddies and the only minions of Mister Dark where the electoons. So there's no reason to rule them out of the game. Although original enemies are of c...

Re: Your Computers

@Superlol: I'm afraid that you can't upgrade the graphics card of a laptop. Those things are integrated into the motherboard of the machine, you see. And if that isn't a problem already, laptops don't have normal PCI-express xN slots, but weird mini-PCI(-express) slots for expansion card and it's of...
