I agree Spyro 2 has really easy segments, but I find that game very re-playable and fun to 100%. Spyro 3 is my favourite one overall, despite it being weaker in certain areas compared to 2.

1 is plagued with poor game design which 2 fixes. It's also badly paced too, with a very inconsistent difficulty curve. I wouldn't call it bad, as it has redeemable aspects to it, but I wouldn't recommend it personally I agree that it would probably be better to try it after playing the other 2 clas...
