Re: Rayman Designer, the cool stuff
I'm not sure exactly what we were thinking at the time of discovery, I believe we were trying to decompile the files, like the .wld files and such, I was opening them up in notepad for some reason :tssk: and I noticed the EVE.MLT, and its infamous wall of nothing. I realised that it was stuff that ...

Re: Rayman 3 - Unlocking the Final Secret
Hah, well I didn't exactly waste five years. I did finish college and get a professional job and all. I still play video games on the side when I can now.
I wish I could like I used to before leaving high school though. Having no responsibilities was great.

Re: Rayman 3 - Unlocking the Final Secret
What would be so great about 2D Nightmare anyway? It would just be an extremely hard Picture City level where anything that hurts you causes instant death and no checkpoints. Would it take another five years just to beat it? I mean I can't confirm it's a great minigame, but I would like to be able ...
Re: Rayman 2
Menezis is definitely not dependent on getting 100%! I have played it several times without 1000 lums, or even close to it. Hahaha, oops. I guess I just assumed you did because I played through the PC version once with all lums first time around and then Menezis came on right after the credits. Ah ...
Re: Rayman 1
Nevermind, I started to have problems. The menu is OK, but on in-game the game runs TOO FAST. I fixed the sound effect problem, but there is no background music... X_X Yeah, I'm at work right now, but I'll go home and try it out again on my PC and see what I can do. Are you using XP? I've b...

Re: Rayman 3 - Unlocking the Final Secret
Tehrunescape, I'm pretty sure you know a lot about Designer and we'd be pleased to hear about it, but just make sure you don't make it sound like bragging, which is probably the reason why syntheticgerbil got annoyed. Yeah, I've just been trying to figure out how to play this 2D Nightmare minigames...

Re: Rayman will be in Academy of Champions
Well, to be fair, it was mainly about the user's interaction with the Wiimote. Ubisoft changed tactics and quickly designed the Rabbid games in time for the Wii's release so that they could make an appeal to the new Wii-market. Old games and their invaluable fans, out the window! Most launch games ...

Re: Rayman 3 - Unlocking the Final Secret
No, I'm not upset more people come here than there, but I AM upset that people don't know all these awesome things you can do with Rayman Designer, and I'm trying to get the word out. Okay, but what does that have to do with any of what this whole thread is about? If you aren't planning on getting ...
Re: Rayman 1
DOSBox is confusing for me. :( I never used MS-DOS... only for quick hard disk formats. It would be awesome on suceeding to work perfectly Rayman 1 on PC. You could try Dfend instead. It's basically DosBox but with friendly menus and a windowed shell. It's a little bit closer to how you would use t...
Re: Rayman 2
Doesn't your initials appear at the end of the credits under "the best player" or something like that if you get all the lums? As far as I know only the PC version and PSX version actually give you a bonus for beating the game with all lums. The Menezis minigame on PC and the Rayman 2 2D t...

Re: Rayman 3 - Unlocking the Final Secret
So if you're not going to help and just make obnoxious comments, why are you trolling the thread then?
Or are you just upset people care more about the Pirate Forums than your own?

Re: Rayman 1
Yeah the "sparkler" hints were in the original PC version, but I'm pretty sure there were a lot more in Rayman Advance. The patch for the PC version is a little bit tough to get working, but have you tried DOSBox instead? I use that to run all the Rayman original/Forever/By His Fans/60 Lev...
Re: Rayman 1
Yeah, I don't know. It could be just me, but I had a hard time finishing Rayman Advance. The controls either seemed way too sensitive compared to the 90s versions or maybe I was overcompensating for tiny screen. It's definitely the best version for someone who can't find an old PSX copy or someone w...

Re: Rayman DS question!
Yeah. You would be lead to believe that it is a different game, especially since the artwork of Rayman in the manual AND on the box is Rayman 3 style. Perhaps it was a scheme to try and sell more copies of the game. Good thing they decided not to, but Ubisoft still ended up doing the same dirty tri...

Redbook's CD audio, but are you talking about how some versions of the first Rayman seem to be missing songs (not sure which exactly besides Forever), spiraldoor?

Re: Rayman Symbian!
Yeah, haha, it definitely is a beautiful game, especially with the graphic limitations imposed on the original Game Boy color version (assuming that is the original) but I would still like to play it and see what it is exactly... or have someone play it and tell me, heh.

Re: Rayman 3 - Unlocking the Final Secret
Haha, yeah, I doubt Ubisoft cares about anything besides Metacritic ratings and sales. Anyways, spiraldoor, you just made me think of how weird it is that Ubisoft would go through all the trouble to add exclusives to the Gamecube port of Rayman 3 and not even bother to follow through on telling anyo...

Re: Rayman will be in Academy of Champions
Um what? The people behind Castle Crashers have been making games and doing animation for well over a decade. The programmer for that game founded Newgrounds. (Back in 1995 if you didn't know). Johnathon Blow also had several small projects he did for few years before making Braid. Those are also 2...
Re: Rayman 1
Really? I used to have Rayman Advance and found it much harder. The controls seemed really unresponsive and hard to use on the GBA.
