Aninated: Pretty much any of Studio Ghibli's films. My favourites being Howl's Moving Castle, Laputa, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.

Action: Quentin Tarantino has some of the best, I haven't seen them all but Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds both had some great action scenes and a lot of tension.
Also recently watched Baby Driver which was great, pretty much non stop action in time with a good soundtrack.

Comedy: Edgar Wright's other films are probably my favourite comedies, specifically Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (though I doubt there are may people who haven't seen them).

Sci-fi: Can't think of many off the top of my head but Moon has remained one of my favourites for a long while and Inception was pretty good.

Fantasy: Lord of the Rings. Also the Hobbit, although I thought it was filled with a lot of fluff so I'd instead go with Dustin Lee's fan edit which cuts the trilogy down into one 4 hour film. It's not totally perfect but it does a really good job at salvaging the best parts and making a watchable movie.

You know i haven’t watched a lot the Lord of the Rings. Loved the Hobbit Trilogy Though, hooked me from the first video (I loved Bilbo and Thorin heheh). Hmmm...I should start watching Lord of the Rings again, I’ve only watched so far one of the videos (I know, odd right)

I binge it every time I'm down. :)
Also, this is my favorite line from the entire film:

It seems a scrawl! And I will not be offensive, it hurts me to speak so of my hero's universe but it is objectively unwatchable, is no longer the Globox that i knew!
Now, for my favorite non RPC movies, it's such a hard and general question to answer, but I'l just say that Seven is one of my all time favorite movies and I could watch it any day.

I love watching comedy films. Stuff that has Ben Stiller or Will Ferrell is always something amazing to watch. I even think the kids film Elf that Will Ferrell is amazing and I actually went to the cinema as a kid with my uncle to see it :)

Tron also happens to be my favorite movie. I wouldn't put legacy up there because it has a lot more flaws but it's very enjoyable nonetheless.

As for the rest of my favorite movies, Dead Poets Society resonates with my experience of school, and I'd put also Fantasia and Hot Fuzz as movies that I thoroughly love and that you probably already watched because they aren't French movies.

But if you're in the mood to experience French movies, my favorite ones are Tchao Pantin, Le Professionnel and Le Roi et l'Oiseau. That last one is animated movie of the 70s that has a lot of charm and might be more accessible than the other two.

I could make a more detailed list but here's the movies I'd bring with me on a deserted island (only to realize that I forgot the DVD player on the crashing plane)

How do you intend to power the DVD player though?

I hope battery life improves significantly by the time Pirez ends up on that island.

Well if the island was deserted, I guess it was once inhabited. :idea2:

This so called thread that you all mentioned as a "movie" is pretty nonsensical in a sense. And that is something I wouldn't want to join for the ride(again Since I read everything). It Would be Funny if everything was just a play.

But Since I watched it just now, all I can say is that I want my money back..

Well, I did my best for two weeks to not get involved, but then I snapped. That nonsense really went on for way too long.
