That would have been a clever way to keep Rayman fans busy in my opinion. But given they opted to include in the same package as the game we'll all have to wait for October. I have the feeling I'm using Murfy a lot this time.

I imagine releasing them at the same time makes more sense because of the bundle.

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
This is so cool!
Foutch and the walking shell are definitely my favorite. I love Dark Rayman and Dark Globox too. Clark and Tarayzan seems a bit random (why not a Teensie), but Polokus and Bubble Dreamer is cool (even if it doesn't make sense

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
Those are some nice references! I agree about Clark and Tarayzan, though.
Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
I was about to comment that it was dropped a Chinese trailer about the Enhanced Edition and oh boy, I'm smiling so much about the new photographer boards because there's a lot of nods about the original trilogy!
Here are the revealed ones so far:

Crazy how there's even references to Rayman Arena and the Learning Games! I'm going to have lot's of fun going through all of them once the game is out
.
Also, Rayomz is confirmed to be playable.

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
It's just a shame how random some of the pairings seem to be. We already talked about Clark and Tarayzan, but Mr Skops and Begoniax? Not sure what the idea was here.
Overall, I maintain that the references are pretty cool, though.

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
That's so good!
Actually, I think the Clark and Tarayzan one is perfect, they go very well together in terms of theming and it makes your imagination go wild about what happened to these characters since the post-Rayman 3 era, and how the R1 & 2 cast could have met and bonded behind the scenes since then!
Otherwise, yeah, some other pairings are downright nonsensical... They probably struggled to fit a few in specific places because they had too many slots to cover!
If there's any which could bother me for example is the Foutch one as it'd make way more sense to see it in the underground part of Gourmand Land (tho I don't remember if any level specifically ends inside), and because there's literally nothing linking him to the walking shell besides being in R2... Also, why does his arms looks like some generic purple sleeves, now? They're supposed to be crystalline!
Btw, I guess this is the closest we've ever got to having Dark Globox and the Arena version of Dark Rayman canonically acknowledged!
(EDIT: as well as a few other things like the edutainment games!
...and the Incrediballs of course, everyone's favourites!
)
Now, as they do remember them... if only they could actually respect the old designs like Polokus for the next games...

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
Alright, this is genuinely awesome. I love how many references to past games, from the OG trilogy to a few spin-offs and even a couple from Legends, they've crammed into these photoboards! They even put Shayman from Adventures into the one with the Incrediballs - could that be a nod to his playable appearance in Rayman's Incrediballs Dodge?
On another note, the trailer also revealed some of the new skins coming to the game! Along with everyone's favorite Legends skins Rayomz and Poglox, there's also some characters from the now-defunct mobile games; Teen Punk, Glombrero, and Shadow Ray Dark Rayman from Legends have been remade in the Origins style, and they're looking good!

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
I think my favorite might the edutainment-themed standee. I discovered the series with the educational games, after all!

This flew right over my head, but you're right! Umber would have made a lot more sense. I guess he's just less recognizable, maybe?Mortamon Saturn wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2026 4:19 pm

At first I wondered what they were going to call him this time, and then I remembered characters don't have names in Rayman Origins...

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
Well, whenever a character pulls the Bubble Dreamer's beard, he'll usually say their name during his dialogue about them, so the question remains in play.Hunchman801 wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2026 5:07 pm At first I wondered what they were going to call him this time, and then I remembered characters don't have names in Rayman Origins...![]()
That reminds me, it'll be interesting to see what the Bubble Dreamer has to say about these returning skins! I imagine it won't break much new ground about the characters, but it'll still be fun to hear what he thinks about people like Rayomz and Dark/Shadow Ray.

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
Holy shit, those are some deep cuts! I absolutely love it. The coolest thing is that it's new art, so someone at Ubisoft actually sat down and drew Dark Rayman (Arena) and Dark Globox in the year 2026.
This kind of thing is exactly what I always thought the original game was missing.

Re: Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition
My biggest question right now is seeing the Polokus in his R2 and UbiArt forms in the same photographer board: it's odd to see these forms together in the same picture as if they were different individuals. Maybe I'm overthinking about it and should interpret some of these boards the same way as I look to the Vita mosaics.
