Yeah, I might've gotten lost in the mansion too, at first.

Rayman 3's soundtrack is a proper banger and it absolutely has no right to be anywhere near as good as it is.

But it is that good. And it just gets better.

The mansion is pretty cool, and the fact that it's in the middle of the swamp too. I'd like to see similar stuff in future Rayman games.

You can look forward to the Land of the Livid Dead then. The Hoodoos are accompanied by some of the best ingame music ever, still one of my all-time favourite themes to this day!

LOTLD also has a lot of easily-missed music that just plays for random hoodlum encounters but is still fantastic anyways despite the fact that you'll never hear it over the sounds of fighting. Like the track that plays, I think, during the fight at the start of the part that has the Grim Keeper and Hoodoo in it.

The Land of the Livid Dead has to be my favorite level, that scenery at the very beginning is just stunning.

wow ok no one coulda prepared me for the fact that desert of the knaaren actually sucked ass
i barely made it past the second level but i can already tell i will not enjoy the rest of it. not helped by the fact that the egg at the end of the first level litreally didnt spawn forcing me to restart (and then i died due to my own stupidity again)
im still lovin the game so far but yea this really isnt epic at all

edit: nvm it got better from the reflux fight onwards and the longest shortcut was pretty epic too!! the prerendered cutscene before it didnt show though???

Yeah the Desert can be slightly challenging at first with the 'invincible' Knaaren. It definitely tried my patience the first time i played. Good luck in the next world though! :D

I can't really say that I have a single favourite world, just that i have multiple worlds that I really like, them being Clearleaf Forest, The Bog of Murk, The Land of the Livid Dead, and The Longest Shortcut currently.

Yeah, the desert is challenging at first but I've grown to like it. How you start on the scorching sand, cross it using tunnels and eventually reach the other side is pretty cool too.

I like how Globox just runs straight across the sand like "ow this burns, quick, get in the shade!".

I think I did worse than that during my first playthrough. Second playthrough I got about 459K, third playthrough 489K. Can't say I plan to try to improve on these.

Nice! Best of luck to improving your score. :)

I haven’t tried improving my score lately. When I’m fully prepared and into the mood of playing Rayman 3 again, I’ll give it a go. My score is pretty good at this point but I still think it can be better if I start using some of the techniques other scorers have used.

Speaking of Globox and the desert, in the beginning of phase 2 at the altar you can see Globox immediately getting captured by a Knaaren. But wasn’t he already captured when he and Rayman fell through a hole in the previous phase? I kinda wonder how he escaped....

I feel like I'd have liked to get another 10k or so to reach #10 in the Hall of Fame, but grinding those extra points would be far from easy at this stage.

I figure he just slipped out of their arms for a bit only to be caught again immediately?

I just realized that the Knaaren, who wanted to eat Rayman's brain, captured Globox right after André moved into his brain.
