I've updated the guide. It needed serious clean up.

I managed to find this thread and try this out. I don't mind using X/Y for the camera as I'm used to the Dreamcast version. The only issue is that B is jump while A is shoot, which I'd like to reverse. Aside from that, it's manageable and I just much prefer a controller for these types of games. I guess if I have to I can get used to the swapped buttons, assuming I can't somehow remap them in Windows.

I can try it out as soon as I install windows 7 and try the Uplay version, since the game runs to fast for me using nGlide.

I need an old less powerful PC. :P

EDIT: I found this and I'm guessing there has to be some sort of way to switch A and B around using something like this viewtopic.php?t=5575

I don't mind if B is the select button for menus as it's in the same place as A on Nintendo's later consoles, so pressing that is nothing new. The jump button being switched from it's usual Dreamcast place is confusing me though.

So I wanted to play Uplay version of Rayman 2 with Xbox One controller, but it wasnt working for me with your Xpadder settings on Win10. I spent few hours playing around with Xpadder and made a layout which works without Rayman2InputFix_v1(dinput.dll). I made it so you can jump with A, shoot with X, movement is both Dpad and Analog stick, camera works fine with right stick. Only thing I couldnt make is to progress dialogue with A, because otherwise you would shoot while jumping. I tried to seperate dialogue input from shooting one, but I didnt find any solution for that, but except for dialogue everything else is working.

Link to Xpadder (same installation as above in the pictures): https://mega.nz/#!z2x0gAhR!EnRABOxys1hd ... GuBvKUq168

THIS LAYOUT WORKS ONLY WITHOUT dinput.dll !!!

I hope this works for everyone :)

UPDATE!: If it doesnt work:
1. Run Xpadder and Rayman 2 as administrator.

EDIT: Rayman 3 layout is not complete, but should still work.

Thank you for that, of course sharing a link here is fine. :)

I must try this out as I has no choice but to jump with B and shoot with A during my playthrough.

Also, welcome to RPC.

I really would appreciate if you could test this and give me feedback, if it actually works on other computers, because I havent tried it on any other than mine. And if it doesnt then I will just delete the post and try to fix it.

And thanks for the welcoming! I was always checking forums, but I never really registered :D You guys are doing great job here!

I'll try it out on mine and see what happens. I have an Xbox One controller I can use and I'll just remove the dll from the Rayman 2 directory to avoid conflicts.

I own it on GoG and Uplay. Also just some advice, you're better off editing posts instead of submitting another post in quick succession. I know people do it on the likes of Twitter and Reddit, but forums are a little different.

Not that there's a problem with a new member double posting just once, but it's just better to let you know to avoid any future hassle. ;)

Anyway, I'll check that out in a bit after I get something to eat. :P

Ahh okay, thanks for the tip!

So update, I have tried it on different computer, where I never ran Rayman 2 before, nor Xpadder and from the start it didnt work, but after I set compatibility of Rayman 2 to Service Pack 2, started it as an administrator AND started Xpadder as administrator, it worked!

Edit: Gave it more tries and now it works in different compatibilities, I think the issue was that I wasnt running Xpadder as administrator, that is actually required for it to work.

Interesting. I'll keep that in mind for my computer in case it doesn't work. I'll check it out now.

EDIT: It seems to be shooting and jumping when I press A, but everything else seems to work. The only downside is that the control stick has to be digital instead of analog, but I'm sure most people won't mind that too much. I wish there was a way to make dinput.dll control only the stick while xpadder could handle the rest, but I'm fairly sure it would have been done a long time ago if it was possible.

That's the problem I had when I had dinput.dll still in my folder, the inputs from dll and xpadder were overlapping which made me shoot and jump at the same time, after I deleted that one it worked fine for me.
Tried it again now and it works good, I can jump without shooting.

Are you sure you deleted/moved away/turned off dll or any other program that could interfere with Xpadders inputs?

But why not just make Xpadder do all the work, both movement and buttons, it works just fine for me. I wonder where is problem on your side that you jump and shoot at the same time. :/

I deleted dinput.dll but it's still doing it, I'll find the problem later, it must be using another dll from another path. The reason I say using dinput just for the thumbstick is so it would be analog rather than digital. It's definitely the best method of playing without having all the buttons messed up this way though.

I think I might be dumb, but I have no idea whats the difference between analog and digital. :/

Hey, so is it just me, or has anyone else ran into an issue with the controller fix on Rayman M/Arena only where my Xbox 360 controller vibrates infinitely after doing an action like optimizations or getting hurt? It only stops whenever I pause or exit the level but this gets really infuriating making it almost unplayable for me and there's no way to disable vibration unless you use a different controller like a PS4 controller with DS4Tool which has vibration disabled.
