I saw one episode, it was a little dull. The games from the original show are replicated pretty well but Jonathan Ross doesn't seem very invested, nowhere near as enthusiastic as Craig Charles was.

He's not actually got anything to do with this new one, in the original he was the "final boss" but they've got some Thai celebrity instead.
I'm not even surprised. Every time they bring something back its never as good as the original an it's sometimes terrible. I actually remember my friend had Sky Digital when we were kids so we used to watch the original show in his house years ago
It's a shame really that they aren't as good since I'd love to see millionaire again too but I get a feeling it unfortunately won't be the same.
You can compare for yourself, here's a clip from the new show:
And an episode of the original:
Maybe it's just me but I pretty much watched TK just for Craig's commentary, while Ross' just sounds tacked on for the sake of being there.
Agreed. That's what it's sounding like when I watched the two videos. I'm a little disappointed, but that's alright. I don't watch game shows too often anymore I usually just watch these kinds of videos when I think of game shows.
Another one I've seen a few times is Tipping Point. While I find The Chase a lot more interesting, it's definitely not the worst one I've ever watched. I've seen a few bad ones over the years.
I haven't been watching much TV lately but I was watching The Chase again yesterday. What I think makes if even funnier is when the chaser offers them negative money
Not only that but they make them a really high offer for the closest step like 70,000 or something then offer 1,000 for the middle step. The furthest step is like - 3,000 and the funny thing is that some people actually take the negative offer
My favourite moment from the Chase was on one of the Celebrity ones where the team only managed to get seven blocks up for the final chase. "Now, as you all know, if the Governess gets a question wrong, and the team get it right… it'll be a miracle!"
Sig with Dora made by R4Y_ANC3L; others made by me
The Chase was cancelled here after the first season unfortunately. Nowadays most game shows will feature celebrities as guests, which makes the show more about them than the ongoing game unfortunately.
So I was just watching The Chase. It got to the final chase and The Governess was asked "The TV slogan is "we'd rather have a bowl of" what?" She started thinking for like 5 seconds and answered "Kellogg's". He stopped the clock and the team were like "uh, Corn Flakes Bradley".
Did anyone here actually not know the answer was Coco Pops?
I mean they are way smarter than me in every single way and know everything when it comes to questions about history and stuff, but I can't believe none of them knew that. The team actually won over her not knowing that and thinking for so long despite the team also being wrong.
Undoubtedly I have no right to criticise them because they're highly intelligent, a lot more intelligent than I'll ever be, but when you know something they don't, it makes you feel so smart
Recently my cousin, sister and I started watching this game show after our usual Hell's Kitchen called "Beat Shazam" and it's actually pretty fun for us to watch especially when they got the hottest songs that we know wrong.
