I'm happy that Boombo had a lot of fun with Rayman Redemption. :D

I still never finished my Demise play. Dunno if I could handle it yet lol.

If you mean me, I got as far as Playtopia and then just never continued from there. I remember the basketballs being really annoying.

EDIT: Oh, you probably mean Jonster in his Demise attempt.

If you mean me, I got as far as I think Anguish Lagoon. That’s when I discovered power ups could kill me and I stopped for the time being. :lol:

As far as I know, I stopped after the first Playtopia level anyway, and I do remember getting annoyed at the basketball part where punching it really hard in annoyance happened to work. :P

Right, let’s laugh at Jonster for being a quitter! :P

I did finish the game in Classic before attempting Demise, but I’m thinking of trying to finish each mode at some point if I can get back into it.

Yeah, the basketballs are not the best gameplay idea of Playtopia. :?

But it's still better than the yin-yangs. I don't want to hear about them for the next ten years. :mefiant:

The basketball section would have been great if it weren't for some strange issue that causes the same punch with the same level of charge from the same position to almost never result in the ball being pushed by the same distance. Making this deterministic (from a the player's point of view) would basically turn this section into a fun puzzle rather than what currently feels like a gamble at a slot machine. :P

I think the same can be said when trying to get a yin-yang ball onto a paint fist platform: it’s just a matter of luck, especially when you’re trying to get it on several platforms. :P

Don’t get me wrong, the paint fist is still my favourite powerful from Redemption though.

The yin-yang and paint fist platforms I just found really hard, so hard that my attempts had to be half-random because things were going to quickly for my brain, so I couldn't really assess the determinism of that section.

Oh yeah, I did have some trouble with the yin-yangs in that paint canvas area too. I didn't really notice the variation in the basketball speed though, that is pretty odd.

New update (v1.1.1):

New:

-Added an important new message to the startup disclaimer
-A link to main menu which takes you to ReDesigner's Gamejolt page
-Bzzit's shot is now golden if you have the goldfist
-The binoculars now disappear once you've beat the game

Fixed:

-Saving the skid sfx option
-The Menace would spawn another health bar after splitting in half
-A couple of spots which were impossible with Dark Rayman
-Dark Rayman not spawning correctly in some cases
-In the Romama fight the hoplite would keep walking during the fireball attack
-In the Mr Stone fight the fist would grab the rings when returning
-In the Mr Stone fight the stonepile didn't react to Rayman's direction when punched
-Classic camera wouldn't follow Rayman's position when hanging on a ring

The original RaYCiSS patch is not compatible with this update. To restore the original Cabin Boys in v1.1.1, use this new version instead: https://github.com/Snaggly/RaYCiSS/

Three updates in the past couple of days, and the changelogs seem to consist of a Globox joke:

1.1.2 - Changes and bug fixes. (15/11/2020)

Code: Select all

-Fixed two sfx which were too high pitched
-Fixed the tight gap added in 1.1.1
-Fixed Mr Dark fight's ball phase to sometimes not rebound correctly
-Fixed the breakable boulders to have 4 hp instead of 5
-Changed the Dark Chimera glass paintings to have different colours in True Boss Rush
-Removed Globox
1.1.3 - Additional content and bug fixes. (16/11/2020)
