Re: Rayman Redemption
Alright, thank you!
Is there a list of achievements / skins / unlocks, somewhere? E.g., I understand that completing the medallions per world unlocks a skin, but how did I for example get the Tonic Rayman, and how do I get a variety of other skins?

Re: Rayman Redemption
I don’t think there’s a list yet, sadly. Most other things are simply unlocked by doing more extra stuff and progressing further into the game (or by entering cheat codes, but no unlockable content is locked behind them).
If you want, I can make a list by myself, but be warned that’ll contain a lot of spoilers.

I'd be interested in knowing what comes from where (also for Bzzit skins and checkpoint skins), and I don't mind spoilers at all, so by all means, if you want to put in the effort, please!

Re: Rayman Redemption
Here it is, everyone! The full list of all unlockables!
Feel free to tell me if I forgot anything or if there’s any mistake (there shouldn’t be any, but you can never be perfectly sure)!
That should be everything!
As an extra, here’s a list of cheats which someone shared here in a previous post: https://pastebin.com/u2pJVpBA
Apparently, some codes were added in more recent updates and are as a follow:
-NOSELESS:
-BREAKME! : Extra lives in Breakout Minigame.
Update: Found another one:
-REDESIGN: Opens a link to Rayman ReDesigner’s Game Jolt page.
Update 2: Found yet another one!
-TOBEYOND: Secret cutscene.
Here’s also Glackum’s video which shows some of the secrets (helpful for an achievement):

Re: Rayman Redemption
I downloaded Rayman Redemption and it's a true masterpiece, but I still prefer the original game!
One thing is I'm not a huge fan of the new soundtracks, I feel like they don't really suit well with the universe.

Re: Rayman Redemption
I noticed there’s quite a bunch of people who aren’t that fond of the new tracks in this game and that’s perfectly understandable considering Ryemanni isn’t very skilled with music so far. As he said, it was his first time making music for a game (although he was credited for the soundtrack in his previous fangame Reign of Terror, but he wasn’t the only person who worked on it).
While I enjoy the music, I feel like it’s a bit weak and too repetitive sometimes compared to the original compositions, and some do feel a bit unfitting.
Personally, as much as I deeply love the original game, I’m having troubles going back to it one year after Redemption’s release. What felt so natural to control feels now slow and clunky compared to Redemption. Some areas in the level design feel more painful than before now that the remake improved most of them. It’ll always be a game I hold dear, but Rayman Redemption took the spot for my favourite game in the series.
I’m mostly disappointed that Ryemanni missed a few opportunities with the remake and didn’t include the original bonus levels. Some changes also felt pretty questionable imo (the Hunter’s bullets and Picture City’s pirate guys for example).

Re: Rayman Redemption
I may have forgotten to talk about it (especially in the Post-Mortem summary), but most new levels from Rayman Redemption have been inspired by the cancelled ‘Welcome to Darkland’ project which was showcased on YouTube many years ago.
You can clearly recognise the ideas that served as an inspiration for Molten Depths, Playtopia, the originally planned beach world and the holiday stand alone world, some elements in ReDesigner’s templates (like the Mr Dark ‘snowman’), and maybe even some worlds from Rayman Reign of Terror. Even the tiles are very similar.
Speaking of this, it’s pretty disappointing this never project never came to fruition, I really love the look of it (especially for the background of the ‘Playtopia’ area in the second video). At least, as the creator himself said it, we can be glad something came out of it in some way (thanks to Ryemanni).

Re: Rayman Redemption
I had completely forgotten about that project, but I recognized some of the environments in the video and I even realized that we have a Welcome to Darkland thread here. It's pretty interesting how it started from a hacked version of Rayman Designer and later switched to GameMaker, which is also what was used for Rayman Redemption. Too bad it was cancelled, but at least it had the merit of inspiring others!

Re: Rayman Redemption
Found a little new "trick" involving the HELIPOWR cheat code. In the Choco Chambers, you can actually walk on the sliding areas without the pans. At the end of each one of them, fly all the way up and you’ll be able to go behind the magic walls. Then, you’re free to explore these areas on foot! You can also use this cheat in the section with the Chocolate Monster’s chase to prevent it from appearing in that one specifically. Just fly at the very beginning to avoid talking to Mr Dark, and you’ll be able to continue without the chase until the next section where the boss fight will happen as usual.
Sadly, it doesn’t work in Mr Dark’s Dare, so the first section can’t be explored without the pan.

Re: Rayman Redemption
Nothing at all, so the legendary last hidden easter egg I was looking for wasn’t there, sadly. The only thing funny to notice is that pretty much all tiles use ice physics, including the nougat platforms which are usually normal.
Though, it’s definitely pretty fun to run in these parts, and it got its purpose if someone misses any special item like a cage and they struggle too much with the pan’s controls.
By the way, Ryemanni has just shared a picture showing the first iteration of Playtopia, which he made in Rayman Designer in 2009.
https://twitter.com/Ryemanni/status/1478353217763299331
He has also shown some toy world concepts he had drawn as a kid: https://twitter.com/Ryemanni/status/1480171655028690949
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Using the UndertaleModTool, I looked inside the game’s data.win in most of the game’s versions and I found some interesting things.
-The Gameplay Demo already contained a few things from worlds beyond Band Land, like some of the sounds or the loading times screens. The Dark, Frankenstein’s monster and Jack-o-lantern skins’ icons were also in the sprites.
-The Demo also contained unused content like the original bigger seed bag, older icons for the Magician’s bonuses, and what appears to be the older SNES skin’s icon (which only changed Rayman’s colours). There were also checkpoint skins (it’s interesting to note that the Junior one was different).
-The test map Ryemanni had made to test the game’s features is still in the game, even to this day. However, it is unknown if it’s possible to get into it through legitimate means.
-The removed Woodcutter boss’s sprite was not cut ( ) before the 1.1.1 update. Its sound effects are still available.
-Some other unused entities like the bat enemy or the venom originally used by the Spider Master and The Menace are still in the game’s files.
-The Ancel easter egg was added to the 1.1.0 update.
-The Globox easter egg was added to the 1.1.3 update.
-Some entities have very different names in the files, like The Menace which is referred as "pest".
(look at the top-left and the bottom-right parts of the picture)
And most importantly, I’ve noticed two very interesting things that were added in version 1.1.1 and which may be the legendary unfound easter egg Ryemanni talked about... Not only a new room was added to the game (titled "Ending3"), but also a new music (titled "Stinger"). When playing this music, it turns out to be an extract of some Rayman 2 music (the end of "Prologue ~A Ray of Hope~"), which almost sounds like a trailer of some sort... Could this easter egg be a reference to Rayman 2 or an extremely elaborate and secretive way to tease a Rayman 2 related project? The room itself is very small and appears to be black and empty, but it contains a trigger to activate some text or dialogs.
While I tried various things (mostly in the Final level as it’s the one that leads to the two original ending "rooms" used for cutscenes) and I looked into the map of every room, I found no way to fulfil whatever "conditions" are required to reach any of these things (while it was possible to see the trigger that teleports to the Ancel easter egg, so it's most likely not the same method). Perhaps this is related to Demise mode, but I don’t have the time to do it right now and cheats aren’t allowed in this difficulty... Or maybe this is related to a cheat code no one has found until now.
So, I’m sharing this with the hope that it’ll help someone to figure out how to trigger this easter egg. Now, we have at least some clues and the confirmation that there are still some things hidden in the game... It’s only up to us to find them now.
UPDATE: I can now confirm that there are more cheat codes left to be found, as one for ReDesigner was secretly added in one of the final updates.

Re: Rayman Redemption
Guys! Guys! I finally found it! I finally found the secret!
As I thought, it's tied to another hidden cheat code! It was tricky as hell to find that one! Enter "TOBEYOND", and you'll get to see the hidden dialogue and music I had talked about! And I was right about nearly everything I suspected!
It may not necessarily be a teaser for a planned "Rayman 2 Redemption" or any related project, but at least it’s a great way to tie Rayman 1’s remake and Rayman 2 in some way!
I also took the opportunity to showcase the ReDesigner-related code as I never did it before in a video.
