The Spooky Raymansion 3
Ladies and gentlemen… The Spooky Raymansion is back...
Download: https://gamejolt.com/games/raymansion3/658338
Trailer:https://twitter.com/Ryemanni/status/1449812369794867210
Yes, Noseless Rayman will return to steal our noses once and for all in The Spooky Raymansion 3! As Ryemanni has mentioned it in his spooky ReDesigner stream, it will be the last game in the Raymansion series! The epic final episode to the Noseless Rayman saga!
So, yes, that probably means no Spooky Raymansion 4… jUsT lIkE rAyMaN 4!
So, what new features are awaiting us this time? Well, this time, rather than collecting Tings and keys, you have to activate various mechanisms to progress! These include switches from Rayman 2 which you can press immediately and valves that take quite some time to fully use. In the meanwhile, the Noseless nightmare is still looking for you, so you’ll have to come up with some tricks…
Since you don’t have a map any more or any other device, you have to use a lantern to see in the dark! Similarly to the Globox Terror fangame, this lantern has a limit and can be replenished by picking up items scattered all around. But this comes with a danger… now, Noseless Rayman will sprint towards you if he sees you, and it is way harder to outrun him now (even if you sprint as well)! However, if you remain in the dark, Noseless Rayman will have to look for you (which can even be noticed by looking at his eyes), but he’s still moving towards you (but way slower) as if he was attracted like a magnet, so you can’t just stand still and hope he’s just gonna leave. Sure, you can still crouch to hide in some cavities, but the opportunity is extremely rare in this game.
Be prepared, because this game is a bit creepier than its predecessors ( )… although, it still has some funny features like the silly paintings or some of the texts that show up when you lose (
Most of the game is very similar to The Spooky Raymansion 2 and there are five levels again (since the ‘first one’ in the previous game wasn’t really a level) with the last one being only available if you have found all Lums. There are three of them this time and you can still use the level select feature to go find them in a previous level (then, you can exit the level immediately after finding the Lum and you’ll still keep it).
It’s not much of an improvement over the previous game, but it looks better, Noseless Rayman’s appearance is more detailed and alive, the gameplay is not as unfair and relies more on the player’s intelligence… and when it wants, this game can do some incredible things!
Great thanks to Ryemanni for entertaining and giving us nightmares once again for Halloween!
Here’s a full playthrough:

Well, since its predecessors both have one, I suppose it deserves its own topic too?

Well, I just turned the last few posts into a new topic. So technically I "made" it, but you're the OP.

Re: The Spooky Raymansion 3
Thanks for adding those details: indeed, the new mechanics look pretty interesting. I'm curious as to whether it will become less punishing and more like a full-fledged game too.

Re: The Spooky Raymansion 3
I preferred the second game overall but the final "level" in this one was quite a surprise.

Re: The Spooky Raymansion 3
I have the same opinion as you! The previous game was a better experience for me overall, but that part was just crazy! It’s the thing I enjoyed the most in the trilogy by far.

And it even mentions a fourth one! But then again, Rayman 3 did mention Rayman 4.

As a bonus, I’ve just made a video compilation of all jumpscares from each game and from Globox Terror! It also showcases -supposedly- all the alternative death texts in The Spooky Raymansion 2 and 3.
And of course, here’s the final instalment of the "noseless_rayman" series!

That Spooky Murfy image looks great, I wonder if I should try to recreate it and make it spookier .

Re: The Spooky Raymansion 3
That’d be something hilarious and terrifying to see for sure!
Though, that picture is a bad crop I made from one of the paintings from The Spooky Raymansion 2. Here’s the full Spooky Murfy for better reference:

Is it a hidden room or just some corridor?

Re: The Spooky Raymansion 3
It’s just at the end of a regular corridor in Level 2.
Also, I’ve just realised that’s precisely Noseless Rayman spawning spot in this level! If you rush to Murfy’s painting when starting it, you’ll arrive exactly when Noseless Rayman appears (and obviously your nose will be stolen immediately ).
Now that I think about it, here’s an interesting fact about Noseless Rayman’s behaviour in the trilogy! While Noseless Rayman is always moving towards the player, he’ll actually return to his spawn point whenever you hide behind a fake wall or inside a vent. This can be best observed in the first game by hiding behind one of the fake walls and by entering and leaving the hidden rooms continuously, as you’ll see Noseless Rayman going towards you and then away from you every time you enter then leave. Ryemanni also explained it recently in his Spooky Raymansion 2 stream.
Another interesting thing he mentioned about Noseless Rayman’s AI is that it was better in the first Spooky Raymansion despite the fact it was barely a game compared to its sequels. This is why Noseless Rayman has a tendency to get stuck behind walls (or behind the crates and bridges in The Spooky Raymansion 2) in the other games. This is because he switched from Unity to GameMaker Studio.

Were you able to exploit the bad AI in some way during your gameplay?

Re: The Spooky Raymansion 3
Not in the third game (though, it may have made the third level way easier because of the level design), but it certainly was very useful in The Spooky Raymansion 2’s Level 4 as you can use the bridges to keep Noseless Rayman away (the fake wall in this one and in the first maze is pretty useful too)!
