This is true on the Atari Jaguar version, but on the PC version, a Ting doesn't give me an extra try. I'm using the version bundled with Rayman Forever, but even in videos on YouTube I've seen, there were no spare tries given when a Ting was collected. Is this a mistake or is there another version of the game in which spare tries are given in Ray Breakout?Flashing plums are now more common – a plum is almost always flashing in this version, making it substantially easier to maintain spare tries

PC/MS-DOS Ray Breakout
So Raywiki states that a Ting gives you an extra try on Ray Breakout:
FC: 40210 | CF: 103059 | BOM: 94388 | LOTLD: 120486 | DOTK: 110450 | LS: 40810 | SBTC: 99693 | HH: 100028 | TOTL: 100563
TOTAL: 809687
Re: PC/MS-DOS Ray Breakout
It does indeed seem to be exclusive to the Atari Jaguar version. I gave it a try on PC version 1.00 and the ting did nothing. Since you tried on 1.21 I think we can rule it out on the PC version.

Let's assume it was a mistake then.

Well, I missed this discussion when it happened, so the English wiki entry was only corrected today.
