This is the first run for this game in over 4 years! But it's worth it, almost 4 minutes faster than the previous 100% record. I think the deathwarping strategy is new here.

Well, nice job on the speedrun. You got second out of third. Yes, the games are different hoodlumsworld. It's kind of cool for the sake that it exists that they made this and also put the GBA on N-Gage and Digiblast to an extent. It's cool that people would speedrun this game. I have never played the mobile version before.

Rayman's phone is here. It has Rayman 3 installed. If you could help me return it to him, that would be appreciated. :?:

GG on beating Ninjacocktails's previous record, it was a very solid one already. It's impressive that the run was deathless aside from the intentional ones. Incorporating plum boosts in River of Fire (that was a close one there), not dying in Wicked Flow and better overall movement (fast climbing, damage boosting, etc.) allowed you to beat a record that stood for more than four years by well over a minute.

Payman wrote:IT FINALLY HAPPENED SUB 1 HOUR!!!!! I have achieved the biggest milestone that was thought to be impossible, even myself, in Rayman 3 GBA. World 1 was good aside from the hub world movement to Hoodlum Hideout. World 2 was great, though Void of Bones could have been slightly faster. World 3 was alright, except for my feet getting glued onto the platform in Boulder Brink 2, and losing a spike bomb cycle on purpose at the end of Wretched Ruins 1 to avoid a dumb death. Finally, world 4 was good and thanks to listening to my chat I did not throw away another chance at sub 1 at mettleworks, though I did do safe strats on phase 1 on the final boss and once again I got bad RNG.

World 2 was also good except for missing a cycle in void of bones. World 3 started off badly with a death in River of Fire but held together. As for revisiting world 2, the revisits were good however Mega Havoc 2 was bad since I got a dropped input that caused me to plummet into the pit. Finally, world 4 wasn't any better since I died twice in Razor Slide, one of them to respawn after grabbing the lums I missed after the first death. Overall I did have fun completing this run and this show that there's still work to be done with this category.

Any thoughts about the mechanic with Rayman's vertical flying speed where you can store your speed when flying downwards and reuse it into Rayman's upward flying speed? Punching or damage boosting upward resets it.

Safe gameplay without deaths by mistakes. Sub 1 hour is now possible for me, I'll continue grinding for it.

Worlds 1 and 2 were really good with a small timesave here and there. World 3 was iffy with some dumb timelosses. World 4 was good until I died on the final boss to forgetting what strat to do which lost me over 20 seconds and the first 58. This run was unbelievable and I still plan to grind out this category until I get 58 then I might retire from this category and grind 100%

My goal was sub 1:24 and I almost got the first 1:22 run. Sadly I choked in Lum Challenge and lost nearly a full minute.
I'm happy with my improvements on the game and willing to get a low 1:22 PB.

A lot of progress happening in this game now. 😎 Congratulations to Payman and NinjaCocktail. Is this damage boost with the electricity in the second part of the Mettleworks a new thing?
