Re: What games are you currently playing?
I just beat Sonic Generations with Rayfist over Skype. Lotta fun that was, I'll 100% it at some point! Now I'm playing Nights: Into Dreams.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I never thought I'd pop up in this thread. But, I am replaying a few PS2 games to relive the memories and while Christmas break lasts. I've played a bit of Crash: Mind Over Mutant but now I'm 20 hours into Kingdom Hearts II. I forgot how nice it feels to, ya know, play a game!

Booyeah! I don't think it's that awful price considering it's brand new and sealed on the picture. Can't wait to play my first Zelda game
Re: What games are you currently playing?

If you need help with something in there you can ask me for help

Crash Mind Over Mutant? I love that game! Also the Titants one, of course, but all the fans of Crash hate it, meanwhile I'm lovin' it.Rulez wrote:I never thought I'd pop up in this thread. Re: What games are you currently playing?
That's a great start for a Zelda game, Omar. Enjoy!
Anyways I've been playing Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker lately, it's very different from other MGS games but I'm really digging it so far.
It really bothers me when Crash fans constantly convince people it isn't a bad game when it really is. Sure, the game does something new, but it strays too far from the original Crash formula. Crash can still feel different while maintaining the core gameplay, that's what many people seem to miss.

The funny thing is I hated Crash of the Titans for much different reasons. Most people simply hated it because of the new designs, when honestly that didn't bother me at all. What I didn't like was the fact that the game felt like a completely uninspired, boring, repetitive beat em up with no sense of accomplishment. Having to constantly mash square only to jack onto a mutant and constantly repeat this process isn't fun, it's repetitive and tiring. And that's a good 90% of the gameplay.Sugar wrote:Also the Titants one, of course, but all the fans of Crash hate it, meanwhile I'm lovin' it.

Yah thanks and I know. My friends all told me that this is the best Zelda game out there and I should start with that one. From all the reviews I saw on YouTube, they all are saying pretty much the same thing.Rayfist wrote:That's a great start for a Zelda game, Omar. Enjoy!

I don't know whether I like Wind Waker or Twilight Princess more, they're both masterpieces. Ocarina of Time is too, but it does feel a bit dated in comparison (though not by much, it still plays extraordinarily well and, if you've never played it before, is a wonderful, unforgettable experience).

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I own it, but haven't really gotten around to seriously playing it; dunno why.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Need for Speed Underground 2 on the PS2. (It’s a lot easier to play on a PS2, however, the PS2 version has extreme load times.)
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Let's see:
Rayman Legends
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Team Fortress 2
Kid Icarus Uprising
Tomadachi Life

Was improving score on Rayman 3

Tales of Vesperia. I had to order it from Amazon as it wasn't available anywhere in Belgium, but I'm glad I did. I'm absolutely loving it so far!
I'm only 12 hours in and it's already one of my favourite Xbox 360 games for sure, along with Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and TES IV & V. Yes, I know, all of my favourite games are RPGs.
There are also RPGs I don't like though: I stopped playing Super Mario RPG because it simply wasn't fun. I liked the Forest Maze but that was about it. Too many battles and no story, while for me it should be the other way around in an RPG... and the composer totally botched the battle theme. I really don't see what people like about that game.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm currently playing through the Walking Dead with Gwee (she's watching me over Skype), and it's wonderful, I'm glued to it, I just finished episode one. Telltale Games are basically masters of storytelling and the point-and-click genre.
My one and only mechanical complaint is that it would be nice if they had clicking 'areas' as opposed to just points; I often find myself trying to find the exact point I need to click in order to interact with a large object, when I think I should only have to click anywhere on the object (this is only really a problem for people who play on the 'minimal' HUD setting, which removes all visual markers for things you can click until your mouse rolls over them).

I love the Tales series. Vesperia is my second favourite next to Symphonia though, I just found the story and characters in Symphonia more compelling and memorable (my brother and I have an in-joke where if one of us says "don't die" in any context, the other will say "...Lloyd", referencing a memorable scene from the game) it almost had me tearing up in places. However, Vesperia's gameplay is obviously more refined, and the graphics (cutscenes aside) are far better, like, they make Symphonia's overworld areas look very bland. I wish the PS3 'HD' port of Symphonia was more than the usual copy/paste, having it match Vesperia in terms of visual fidelity would have been really amazing.Drolpiraat wrote:Tales of Vesperia. I bought the Season Pass for it. I though it was shit, but, I was completely wrong. It's awesome as fucking hell!Adsolution wrote:I'm currently playing through the Walking Dead with Gwee (she's watching me over Skype), and it's wonderful, I'm glued to it, I just finished episode one. And also, I'm not into the Point and Click genre, but, I completely loved this one.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
FIFA 14 in PS4.
It's freaking awesome, just that I played it in a restaurant.
I miss it so much. By the way, it was just exciting and nothing more, I'm not one of those "sugar block fans of FIFA and PES games."
