Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Man, I don't know. All I know is that I hate MP's motion controls.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I personally liked the motion controls. As for Pirez's issue, I couldn't say for sure if it's "fixed," as I don't know what it is that gave you motion sickness in the first place.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I admit that the offer of Metroid is very tempting but the problem is that the amiibos are forcing me to miss this, ehehe...
I also am not sure if I would enjoy Metroid, that's other fear I have. Oh well, there are always the GameCube versions as future alternatives.
Is any of you getting the New 3DS in these next 6 months? It won't be the case for me. I would like to know though if the Pokémon framerate is fixed in the new consoles. I got the Nintendo Club message for the invitation to get the Ambassador edition but I sadly had to refuse. Maybe at this moment it is more worth waiting more time.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I ordered New 3DS and hopefully it arrives soon to me but sadly I have no Pokemon to test it. I can test Rayman 3D though.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I've been playing Rayman 3D on it, and there's no difference.
IIRC there are no differences in any games that came out prior to the release of the New 3DSs, only games from this point onwards might take advantage of the new hardware, and I'm pretty sure this includes the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire frame rate issues

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Makes me wonder why is that the case since I remember gbatemp members once confirming one 3DS firmware update improved Rayman 3D a bit and that before it ran worse
So why not take advantage of new system?

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Because who is going to do the work?
The game still has glitched as fuck rain, and no one's patched that, doubt they'd bother patching to improve performance on the revised system 4/5 years after the game came out

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Ah well, at least Ubisoft could give us Rayman Legends for New 3DS if not improving performance of Rayman 3D and Origins.
Seriously, that would be good to have. Like exclusive for New 3DS using maximum power like Xenoblade.

Really wishful thinking.OldClassicGamer wrote:Ah well, at least Ubisoft could give us Rayman Legends for New 3DS if not improving performance of Rayman 3D and Origins.

From what I've read the only things getting a performance boost is Pokemon.
However the analog stick can be used as a replacement c stick for older games.. I have an incentive to buy Metal Gear Solid 3D. So yeah, getting a new 3DS on launch.
@Haruka
I don't like to judge others buying preferrals, but choosing plastic toys that do a few things in game, over 3 amazing FPS's. Think about this.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Can't wait to test it with Kid Icarus Uprising. I hated controls with stylus and 3DS stand. Gane practically designed for circle pad pro and I didn't want to waste money on that plastic.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Games like MGS 3D and Kid Icarus require CONSTANT use of a camera. Using A B X and Y as the camera in MGS was really irritating. Only problem is the game is locked at 20 fps... Even on the new 3ds
I played the demo for MGS 3d on the new 3DS and the camera works really well, totally hyped to experience that.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I would rather let Ubisoft be quiet in their corner and not bring a RL port for a console with a 640x480 resolution. I don't see it work, sorry.OldClassicGamer wrote:Ah well, at least Ubisoft could give us Rayman Legends for New 3DS if not improving performance of Rayman 3D and Origins.
Well, I am not favouring periphericals but it would also have been nice if the amiibos were not costy. The crazy demand and the greedy opportunists out there forced me to act now before I regret later. I also don't feel in the mood to give away 80€ for a figurine like some sellers are desiring.Rayfist wrote:

The promo is still up until the end of 5th February, right? If not, I won't reach in time.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Yeah, that's a good point. What really irks me is the 40 year old Nintendo fanboys (not fans), pre ordering that shit immediately so others can't have it. I'm getting so sick of these greedy ass fanboys. No wonder why Nintendo fans are picked on so much.
What other fanbases buy stuff for the sole intention of just not wanting others to have it?

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
It is this situation that is bugging me most in the amiibos, hence why I'm doing an effort in getting the ones I really want as soon as they appear and I see them in the shelves. I don't know if this story was talked about in here but it is incredible how some people can be really jerky: a guy bought all the hundreds of Rosalina amiibos in stock for people to not manage to get one!Rayfist wrote:Yeah, that's a good point. Re: Official Nintendo Topic
You're thinking of Mariotehplumber, who for some reason OCG finds hilarious.
MTP recently admitted he was a troll (BIG FUCKING SURPRISE!), after loads of articles were constantly bashing him for being a basement dweller loser. Whether he was serious of the amiibo situation, I don't know. But if it is true this guy is an incredibly sad man, and really should seek help.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
You said it all. If I remember well, it is the same dude that attempted to sell the small Rayman plush for 600 dollars. Some people are really sad.Rayfist wrote:But if it is true this guy is an incredibly sad man, and really should seek help.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I found his trolling hilarious (not Amiibo purchase but rant videos) mainly due to fact how others reacted and thought he is real. He is ok to talk to privately and has incredible knowledge about merchandise but on internet, he trolled for 5 years before admitting he was troll and apologising and he loves to profit from buying rare things and selling them for insane price. He was the one also selling Rayman plush on eBay for insane price and someone bought it.
I don't support his ways of massive buying really but he can't be changed sadly.
Oh and he bought 241 Rosalinas. Don't think he should have done it, others need it too.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
So it's true, huh? If that's the case then I stick to my statement, I wasn't all that interested in the Rosalina amiibo, more looking for Marth and Captain Falcon. But I still find this ridiculously selfish, many casual fans would like to collect then and you have morons like this increasing the price simply to stir up controversy. I'm convinced this lonely man has nothing to do with his life.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I'm waiting until my birthday to get the NEW! 3DS. I haven't had my special Cobalt Blue one for that long so ill give it a few more months before I retire it.
Amiibo are one thing I love but do not have the funds for. I really love these things as collectibles. They're made with good quality and they make my shelf look nice.
I've skipped on getting Metroid Prime Trilogy for $10 because I got it back in December of last year for like $43 I wonder what other Wii games are coming their way to the eShop. I'm guessing Donkey Kong Country Returns is next for the U.S. and Punch Out for European countries.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Meh, I'm not one for the skylander toy collecting genre. I'd rather have some actual figures a la transformers than small statuettes. But I can see why they're not doing that, for the sake of affordability.
