Too bad they gave him those eyebrows in the game anyways... In fact, I feel reeeeeeeeal bad for all of the 3d models that Ubisoft sent to Sakurai. Poor Globox, Ubisoft forgot how to make him in 3d.

I gotta disagree tbh... I'm all for giving characters more defined eyebrows to enhance their facial expressions, but I can't see eyebrows that thick work that way on Rayman and I think they look blecgh. Just my opinion, though.Jewish Candy wrote: Those are actually quite decent eyebrows, if I do say so myself. They suit the style and they balance his face well.
Having said that, I don't mind the eyebrows on the Smash version. Still kinda thick imo, but it sorta...moulds more with his eye shape? So it looks less awkward.

Honestly, in the fake model, I actually don't really mind the eyebrows. The thing is, I can't really tell if I feel like they add a little extra to his face...or if they make Rayman look awkwardly older.

I'm still the minority.

To me, they remind me of the JP versions of Ratchet and Crash, where they were given bushier eyebrows.

Hmm, I think quite a few styles of eyebrow would work with Rayman's face. I do think they need to be, how should I say, animated - that is, free to pop off the face like in cartoons. And obviously distinct from one another, that's important. Thick or thin, black or natural (unless it's his hair that's bleached?), those things are not a big deal to me.
I think the main problem with the model for me is that he has two eyebrows, very close together and very 'painted', for one eyeball. And the two pupils are off to the side of that one eyeball while the eyebrows stay centred. AND the eyebrows are on the eyelids. It's disconcerting.

I got my hopes really high for this. I feel stupid but I guess I deserve it.

Someday.

crying probably

I think we are all forgiven for nearly believing in such a nicely made fake. A person can really dream high... ^^'
Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
I still don't trust that uploader fully and will wait for tuesday. If it is fake, why would Ubisoft just simply not confirm it is fake now? Why wait tuesday? Something might happen.

I guess it is time to move on. Though I still hope the guy gets hit by a bus, heh.
Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
I really doubt it, but it would be a pretty awesome stunt if it actually was real, especially after the interview with Gamexplain. But I don't see Ubisoft just confirming it via a twitter post or something - if it was real, they'd probably just keep quiet and leave information as vague as possible. Nintendo still went ahead and announced new characters even though they were already leaked.

I've seen a lot of rustled jimmies throughout the Rayman fan community over the past 12 or so hours.

But I OCG never move on. I still to this day think about Toad rumors in SSB MeleeBradandez wrote:I guess it is time to move on. Though I still hope the guy gets hit by a bus, heh.

I think some of us would do good to put a little break between writing and submitting our posts. It's the cure to keeping yourself from entering stupid YouTube arguments, at least.THEdragon wrote:I've seen a lot of rustled jimmies throughout the Rayman fan community over the past 12 or so hours.
