Do you already know, what final combo you´ll play? Will you play the ~17k points combo with the 6 gems at the beginning, if it´s possible or don´t you like to use the SJ within the combo?
By the way, great warehouse combo! I didn´t expect, that it´d yield more points, than the other combo.
Thanks! Well, I got an extra 300 points from the Cage combo in the Warehouse and I can do some small improvements here and there compared to the points walkthrough a few pages ago. I think I can settle with the medium hard combo in HH2 room 3.

I haven't investigated HH3 thoroughly yet. The 17k combo is a drawing board combo, but as far as I can tell it all comes down to the Lockjaw time frame. If I can use the box trick near the Lockjaw Can to enter the Hoodboom platform, then it could be possible. I'll definitely try to include the SJ in the combo.
Maz wrote:I have fooled around a bit with both breaking the Cage from above and quickly getting the HMF to collect the Yellow Gems before they disappear, and equipping the HMF first and breaking the Cage afterwards, but I wasn't quite that successful with it (maybe it's because I wasn't extensively testing it). I'm assuming you tried that as well already. May I know, what were your experiences with those variations? Do you think one of them might be pulled off?
I have tried all combinations in getting the Gems from the Cage with the HMF without any success.

Another thing I've been working on in connection with the Cage - Matuvu - Tribelle Combo is the following:

Kill the Hoodboom on top and get the HMF, break the Door, run like hell and fall down to kill the Hoodblaster in the other room. Convert the Lum (two Lums), kill the Hoodoo with one hit and and kill the Hoodlock with one hit as well. Convert the Lums:

The Hoodoo Combo:
hDHLL|HoHLLL

Combo: 1.780
Basic: 1.300
Total: 3.080

That would earn me further 6 - 700 points compared to the walkthrough.

By the way, are you going for 122.619, or 122.339 for now?
I have to learn for my exams as well, but since there isn´t a lot going on next week, i´m sure i´ll find some time on one or other evening. :)
I think i´ll go for 122.619 points. I doubt, that i´ll have success in the next days or weeks though, i don´t really like the combo...

Since you wrote "That would earn", i guess you´ve had no success yet?
Since you also tried to kill the hoodblaster after breaking the door and since the hoodblaster is - as far as i know - further away than the hoodo and the hoodlock, couldn´t you shot at the hoodlock as soon as you enter the room, kill the appeared hoodo with this fist and then continue with the two remaining hoodlums? It´d yield less points than your combo, but "only" by ~300 Points.

Yeah, that's right, no success yet. The Hoodoo after the fall is plan B. No matter how it turns out I feel confident I don't have to play the extreme combo in HH2 room 3. That's a first priority. I would also like to avoid having to get the Gems in the Secret Room in HH3 with the Lockjaw. It's a whole lot easier without a Powersuit. I have a feeling I will have to start and restart HH3 over and over and over... :(

Have you tried breaking the cage with a lateral shot from the path above, killing the Hoodboom and then falling down to collect those gems?

I didn't know there was enough time to kill the Hoodlums with the Hoodoo after finishing off the Hoodboom.

Can't speak for MandM, but I tried to do that, with no success. You should have around 7 seconds before the Gems spawn, and ~7 before they disappear, but I could never make it on time.

Edit: And if it's not asking too much, it would be cool to see a video of the Hoodoo-Combo being pulled off... I just watched Haruka's HH-Walkthrough, and it seems as if it takes ~1 second for the HMF to spawn, and ~5 more seconds just to reach the other room. I just don't see it happening.

I have tried that and I was nowhere near getting it right.

Well, neither did I, but I'm awfully close to getting it. If I manage to do it, I'll make a video. I haven't played for some time and it will be a few weeks before I can seriously dig into HH again.

Still well alive my friend, new tactics for high scores in the making. I did have the #1 high score in all of the US but some asswipe beat me.
Edit: Holy shit I love how Haruka's score is dangerously behind me waiting to kick me in the ass to take back what was rightfully hers. XD

Meh, I guess with all the things which have been found over the past few months, there's not really much more left to discover. Hence, this topic is a little inactive right now.

Doesn't mean the game's dead though. ;)

I'm just waiting for the right moment to attack my game again and triumphly pass your score. :mryellow:

I have a question to all since I want to know if it is correct to do or not, knowing it is possible to edit the score valours.

I have 2 different save files on my PC game, but some scores are better than others in one file or other. I wonder if I am forced to be faithful to the score of my main save file or if I can pick the best scores of the 2 save files and add them to have the full valour of my scoring and edit it. I really want to know if it is correct to do that or to leave my score loyal to one of my main files.

well, you achieved the scores so you should be fine with that. I also lost a savefile of mine a year ago because my HDD broke so I simply recovered my scores with Cheat Engine because I legitimately achieved them before.

Then I will update my scoring through edition, since I actually achieved a bigger valour than the one that is listed in the HOF.

EDIT: I did the maths and my real score is 571084 points. Was the edition feature disabled? I cannot find it anymore. I also can't use the Cheat Engine, I don't know how to work with it. :oops2:

Edition feature? I don't follow. As for Cheat Engine, you'll need to do a search for the right variable, to do so, go into the desired level, and search the score you start with. Get some point, then refine the search. Keep doing so 'til you've found the one variable containing your score, then just modify it to be the score you intend to have.

I use T-Search, I admit, so the method might be a little different, but I'd think they'd be similar in principle.

Before I could go to my profile settings and change manually the score valour for the Hall of Fame but it seems to be gone (probably since cheaters started to abuse it?).

I fear I need a tutorial to successfully edit my score in that program. :oops2:

Is there a separate topic only for sharing personal scores or is this the one? I've played R3 on PC, PS2, 360 and GC, but I spent most of my playtime with the PS2 version which means that my personal best stats are in that version as well.

you can post everything that's somehow related to Rayman 3 scoring, funny arguments or demonstrating mental diseases in this thread, it's an Allrounder pretty much.
But on a more serious note, yeah you can post your scores here and I'd be interested in seeing them :)

also this reminded me so hard of Rayman 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5H7HqayshM

In that case I will in due time, but atm I'm playing on my 360 and packed my PS2 away. I can't have more than one console plugged into the TV because there's not enough free space in the vicinity of the television and I wanted to finish Wolfenstein: The New Order anyway.

It'd really help me out if someone could tell me what determines the percentage score at the end of each section?

It's a percentage of the score that "Murfy" got on the level (i.e. what the developers believed to be the maximum, or reasonably close to it).
