It never occurred to me that rabbids could be considered canon, or anything other than a spin-off. Even the first game had a vastly different tone and setting to every other canonical Rayman game. But at the same time, we do have RRRDS to tie it to the main franchise... which is to say, considering them canon isn't something I'd disagree with in a major way.

We might never know for sure if Rabbids are canon to official Rayman series or not but what we know is that Michel Ancel said: "No more Rabbids man." when asked will they appear in Legends.

Do you mean RRRGBA? RRRDS was a lot more like the console versions, but used Rayman DS's engine for its platforming. RRRGBA is a very Raymanish title.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't.

Nope. If I could find the source, he has no regrets and still cherishes them since they are his creation.

Bradandez wrote:I'm fairly certain Rabbids are still canon. Even if their series have split apart, that doesn't mean Rayman Raving Rabbids never happened. The Rabbids were just sent off someplace far, far away. Can Rayman 2 be considered non-canon seeing as a lot of those characters from that game never returned? And what if the Rabbids level did make it into Legends, what then? Hmmmmm?
I meant the games' setting (RRR2 is randomly set in "our" world, while TV Party is set "somewhere, I guess?"), not the Rabbids themselves. They still have an enormous potential as the next villains that is, if R4 ever happens in it's originally intended form which I hope it will.
As of the scrapped Legends level...DAMN! I wanted to punch Rabbids so bad in an actual Rayman game where Rayman's name is not a selling point as the title of some forgettable party game experience.

Therein lies the reason why I'm not so keen on having the Rabbids series in the main Rayman universe, it implies that a world as fantastic as the Glade of Dreams co-exists with a more banal and grounded Earth. I guess it's no biggie in the grand scheme of things, but it never really felt right to me.

^ uh-huh-THIS. The Rabbids' tone and environment feel alien to the rest of the franchise.

Don'tcha remember? Rabbids are capable of interstellar (multidimensional) transportation as seen in one of their commercials. That explains why the Rabbids and Rayman are on Earth in the second and probably the third game.

Which commercial was this? I can't remember anything which indicated it like so, unless you're referring to the Time Machine?

I can't exactly find it separately, but it's where they come to Earth in yellow submarines. You can find it in this compilation.

3d ripper dx does work for ripping RRR models. Have you tried running it as Administrator?

Guys, does anyone have a very completed Wii save of RRR? I need one, trying to cheat the save for getting the 1000 points on the glitched mini game to unlock World Electism Championship. I'm so angry atm :pascontent:
I almost found a cheat to do it, but game gets stuck at the 5th wave, and I was at 902 at fifth wave! If only
But I need saves, so I don't need to redo all the minigames again :D
Thanks! :)

Btw, is World Electism Championship is not unlockable only on wii? Or are the bugged minigames only on Wii?

I never managed to fully unlock everything in RRR and I think it is not worth the effort since the unlockable goodies are all stuff we already know.
