I haven't been very active on RPC lately. Due to university I don't have a lot of time so I like to spend the time I do have doing more enjoyable things.
Browsing through RPC has become less and less enjoyable over the past few months. Not only are there now way too many shitposts and dumb memes (I'm of course excluding posts made on RD), but there seem to be more and more fights as well. A few good members that I really respected left a while ago and now the forum feels like it's half spam and half way too nice people who don't do anything about it. That's really quite lonely.

Browsing through RPC has become less and less enjoyable over the past few months. Not only are there now way too many shitposts and dumb memes (I'm of course excluding posts made on RD), but there seem to be more and more fights as well. A few good members that I really respected left a while ago and now the forum feels like it's half spam and half way too nice people who don't do anything about it. That's really quite lonely.

Well Hunch, Harpic and Eren are the biggest contributors of these kinda posts, but the one that peeved me the most was OCG's one during the argument with Tamaki

Well somebody gave Fifo and Harpic the mr skeltal rank, and it was not me (to my knowledge at least). I'm not here to call you a enabler but if the mightiest of the mighty starts a joke, it trickles down into a meme once the peasants get the hold of it.

Hi, just wanna drop that I will be taking part in a charity all nighter tonight in which we will be playing games for 12 hours straight from 9PM GMT (one of which will be the Rayman Legends Kung Foot minigame) in order to raise funds for Special Effect, which builds custom gaming equipment for people with disabilities. Each person who donates will also be entered in a raffle (up to 5 tickets per person only), and info on the prizes are here.

Hey, I'm not leaving! The tone of my post may have made it sound like I was, but I'm still here (not very active, but still) I just wanted to rant about how much I dislike the current situation here on RPC. The community has gone downhill to the point that I'm not willing to contribute to it as much as I have in the past and it seems a lot of other members feel the same way.

So, no worries, we've got this and we're almost there.

I'm glad to hear it - looking forward to being a part of a fun community again!

I think sucking is a strong term because while as a fan I have my less good opinions about Origins/Legends I would still definitely recommend them to platformer fans. The main problem here is that Rayman isn't in its old golden days and all we can do is hoping that better days come in future. I'll be waiting (even if it means sitted!)! All of this to say that my feelings are with you, Droolie.

This is true. I really wish they would have done something along the lines of Rayman 1 instead of Origins/Legends. The games are fun but seem very uninspired compare to Rayman 1-3. I can't say I agree with you on that, in fact I think they may have been MORE inspired. When I first played Origins I could tell that Ancel had seen the bubblething from New Super Marioo Bro.s Wii and made the concept even better. Many of Origins running segments are also very reminiscent of titles like super meatboy, and that doesn't even include the return of old characters like Murphy, Betilla, and the Stonemen.

Just looked at some videos of Windows 10 in action. It's like they took everything native to a Mac and crammed it into Windows. I swear it's the console wars all over again, now gone desktop.

However, also saw some features that seemed innovative and must say it looks like a good system from a UI and user friendliness point of view.

But who knows how cranky the beast is below the surface... c'mon you all know how computers can be sometimes xD
