Ah, so pre-movie. <'s memory of the G1 cartoon itself is quite fuzzy though. Looking at TFWiki, < sees you've just gone past the introduction of the Dinobots, always did like that group, though their interpretation of Grimlock isn't <'s favourite, he's a bit too dimwitted in the cartoon for <'s tastes.

<'s never been a transformers fan, < just likes the cartoon for the cheesy animation and story. The voice acting and music is actually really good though.

< has been looking at some pro audio drivers for a MBM (mid-bass module) for the rear surround speakers. < has that narrowed down to three different options really.

Dayton Audio PA310-8 driver - cheapest option that should do well enough for those two channels. Will keep up with them.


Denovo Audio Magnum-12 or the JBL 2206H - Former new and latter used run near the same cost. Both are very excellent drivers. Will exceed the performance of the Dayton drive above. So if I wanted to have some nice headroom available, these will be the key choices.
