Cloudflare… That's that hoster that was running CAPTCHAs on everything last summer that would only work with the latest versions of popular browsers. I actually got myself quite worked up about that! But if I remember right none of those sites was one that happened to have anything sensitive of mine, so I guess that's good… :?

Thankfully, it looks like most people and organizations are not interesting enough at the moment:
Though it's still not too easy to come by such an attack: Google's SHA1 "shattered" attack takes 110 GPUs one year of work to produce a collision while a SHA1 bruteforce attack on the other hand would take 12 million GPUs and a year worth of work.

Still, this is probably the best time to stop using it! (Does anyone still use it anyway?)

As I was informed by members here just over seven years ago, it's the first day of meteorological Spring today. It also happens to be the first day of Lent, whose name comes from an old Germanic word for Spring. I know a lot of us aren't religious, but I might as well ask: anyone giving anything up?

People still use MD5 (for cryptography I mean; MD5 is very fast and therefore still useful in other situations where collisions don't matter).

I also, I read this article about a gene therapy treatment for leukemia yesterday, sounds quite promising:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2017 ... e-therapy/
Some 36 per cent of the 101 patients on the trial were still in complete remission at six months, and eight in 10 saw their cancer shrink by at least half during the study.

That sounds really promising given that it's only a recent cure. People dying from the cure itself seems like a fatal flaw though, but I wonder if more research could resolve that problem.

Well those people were going to die anyway so it's pretty much the same as the cure not working, really. Of course, reducing that risk would still be awesome and they still have a long way to go, but that sounds pretty cool indeed.

It would be nice if something can be done to help save people though, especially the kids that suffer from cancer.

We've lost a good family friend over cancer years ago, and my uncle has cancer now, which is a bit hard on the family currently.

Well isn't that what happened for some people with that therapy?

I'm afraid he can't stop. He has a real nasty habit of executing scripts on his computer that opens every page on RaymanPC as part of his daily debug tests. Sometimes he's so excessive and locks up his computer in the process. :tssk:

I'm confused as to the meaning of the word multible. Could it mean “able to be made many”? :mefiant:

Maybe that's what she intended? Shall I run it by the dictionary to confirm? :o

Well starting pre-posting today would be a rather crazy idea, and slightly inefficient too as forms would expire.
