The final version of RRR also does this for the spectator rabbids in the colosseum, for example.
Yes, I know that, i just find it strange that we can see in some images Rayman be really close to the 2d rabbids.

So basically even if there is any useful prototype files in the game, they made sure to make them hard to get at. Lots of encrypted BIN files and a lot of other weird extensions used after you extract the .BF file.

I still wonder though if it's only sounds that are left in it anyway.

I still have to check the files of the WIi version later to see if I can find anything, though if the members 6 years ago couldn't find anything, I might not either, but I'll try anyway. It might take me a few days though since i'm a novice at these kinds of things...

This isn't so much about being a novice, but finding the right tools/scripts to extract/decrypt the game files. I haven't tried the Wii version but have the PC and XBOX 360 versions. Both have slightly different file structures but they both have a lot of the same files in the end.

Which tools do you think would work on the version I'm trying?

The same ones I was using if it ends up having a file or 2 with the .BF extension once the ISO is extracted. I'll PM you about that though if you need help ;)

There's no point in checking RRR for unused stuff anymore. I recently made a level viewer for the Xbox 360 version of RRR (check the UnlockRay thread) and besides sound, everything unused is just gone. For the Wii and PC versions, I made a new BF extraction script that also extracts folder names (by doing it myself I could be certain everything was extracted) and it's pretty obvious that there too, nothing from the prototype remains.

I feared that, you're actually the one I was referring to when I said someone already tried this 6 years ago.

Thanks for letting us know then so I don't waste any more time on it :)

I heard there was concept art/early screenshots of Rayman Raving Rabbids (back when it was a platformer) with Rabbids chasing and capturing teensies and other characters from previous games but I can't find them anywhere.

Does anyone know where I can find these images? Thanks.

Was a Gamecube version of Rayman Raving Rabbids ever in development?

I don't think, we only know that Rayman Raving Rabbids was first in development for PS2 before switches to Wii.

You could just post the link.

Anyway, i found the blogpost of François Roughol, one of the level designer of RRR and his prototype.
https://www.francois.games/rayman-raving-rabbids/
This page interesting, in fact, it’s say that he made multiple level of the prototype before going into a minigames compilation and he even mentioned the (possible ? ) old name of two FPS levels. (named "Canyon Carnage" and "Cemetery Chase")
