I know, right?

I moved the conversation here since I felt like it made more sense talking about it here rather than in a thread where we are supposed to talk how about too good we are...
Although my intentions seem to have been flamed upon due to my poor word selection. :oops2:

I can’t really blame him since the post I first made pretty much made it look like I was accusing mods of cheating :oops2:
Nobody likes to be accused of that.

That 1337 though..

It reminds me of the time this one guy was being an asshole when I was in Tramore. He was probably just winding me up but it was working. I was throwing darts and he kept saying to me that I never even got 180 and that all the pictures I had I just walked up and stuck the darts in the board.

I had to keep explaining that I got hundreds of them but it's not always as easy especially when you've pressure on you to do it when people are watching. I was even saying like what would I get out of that, walking up and sticking darts into the board.

Eventually I got so pissed off that I literally wanted to turn around and throw the darts at him, but instead I threw my phone across the room and it landed on a chair and it was like I activated focus in Watch Dogs or something.

I just walked back to the oche and threw 3 perfect darts into the T20 while that guy looked then I turned around and shouted 180 as loud as I could while staring straight at him

All my relatives etc. There said that was memorable and that the guy was "sick" when I got it :P

So basically yeah I understand exactly how Ray felt by thinking someone said something he worked hard at is fake / cheating. I don't blame him one bit and I would've probably reacted more hostile than he did :)

Edit: Also yeah Jonster I know you didn't mean it that way, just from his point of view I mean ;)

Man, I wish I was that good at darts, every time I play people have to stand away from me to avoid any darts that come flying backwards. I can't stand people who are sore losers though and think of petty reasons to make the winner look bad. I should know, I used to be a sore loser as a kid. I've become a much more mellower and nicer person with time though, now I can accept defeat with dignity, and move on from it.

Same here yeah. I can say fair play to someone for winning and accept that there has to be losers to be winners.

About Darts though, I used to play a lot from age 18 up to about 24 but then I just stopped around the same time I stopped drinking :P

I'd also like to have something clarified, that being where we currently stand on uploading IPG-Scores to the HoF. I browsed through this topic to make sure I remembered it correctly; apparently we compromised on not uploading IPG-Scores to the HoF, but that compromise was "tied" to MandM revealing his findings in SBTC no later than April 1st, 2016 (which is somewhat overdue by now).

Either way is fine for me, but if I was allowed to enter my Score, I feel like it'd be a waste to never upload it to the HoF. Is there some general consent on this?

Edit: For reference:
MandM1981 wrote: I will propose this compromise:

1. Secrecy.
All players will share future findings in R3 through descriptions or videos.
MandM81 will reveal where he found the points that cancels out the IPG no later than 15 months from January 1st 2015, that is on April 1st 2016. That is the time frame set by TSF. If anyone beats my total score through non - IPG play before this date I will reveal the findings on the day when that happens.

2. The Hall of Fame.
Only non - IPG scores are to be entered into the existing HoF. If technically possible it would be preferable to have a separate HoF for IPG scores.

3. The communication on the forum.
All members of the forum will refrain from abusive language and personal attacks.
To be found on page 305, 16th post on that site.
Whatever man, I‘ll get rid of my score if it makes anyone sleep better.

I‘m still having issues IRL that prevent me from contributing anything to the community right now. I don’t feel comfortable elaborating this further, so sorry for that.

After all, everybody should just do what suits him best IMO. I think it would be great if we all could just hang out. I guess the other 3 germans (sorry sfn) are not coming back anymore at this point though, so I‘m not sure if there‘s even anything left worth „fighting over“ for me. I‘d like to know whats up with SBTC mainly so that I can bury this game for myself at peace.

I‘m very happy though that you two guys came in at just the right time and brought a lot of energy, and on top of that, invested that energy correctly in playing rather than arguing. Whatever consensus we agree upon, you two deserve a special place beyond the Hall of Fame.

In the end, there‘s never going to be a game like Rayman 3 ever again.

I don't think you need to worry about that, since the post you made is a contribution already. I remember another mod once telling me that even if it's one post, it still is a way of contributing to the forum and the community in general. I will respect your wishes and not ask for the details, but good luck with whatever you need to take care of.

Hmmm.......I have to wonder about that, though I don't really have high hopes for another game like this either. :(

I didn't mean for it to come out like I wanted you to delete your Score or anything. It's just that I don't have my previous codes written down, so if I upload my current code, there's no going back to a Non-IPG-Score. Just making sure is all.

Sad to see that so many great players who contributed so much to this game don't find the motivation anymore, but I guess I kinda get where you are all coming from. I'm planning on finishing DOTK and then maybe TOTL with the IPG in the future, and then I will probably lay off Rayman 3, too. It simply feels as if outside of SBTC, there's really nothing left to discover.

But who knows, maybe one day when you've overcome whatever issues you might have (best of luck resolving these, by the way), you'll come back. Maybe to find new stuff on one of your streams - and I'll gladly be there when that happens :D

It's quite unfortunate, albeit kind of understandable, that you want to quit playing R3. I hope we all can still hang around here though. :)
As for myself I don't intend to ultimately cease playing this game. Sometimes I might take a longer break, but whenever I find the motivation and time I'll come back. We'll see. After all I think that even though we might have found almost "everything", there'll be always things left undiscovered. Apart from that I'm still up for gathering the R3-scoring-knowledge etc.

@Cut: Good luck dealing with your issues. I hope you'll get over it soon! :|
Besides, don't feel pressured into making any big contributions right now. Just take your time.

I really have to get back to practicing and try get a half decent score. My score is so low atm that if I doubled it, it would still be less than either of the 2 posters above

Really bad but

FC: 26000 CF:49000 BOM: 41000 LOTLD: 68000 DOTK: 60000 LS: 29000 SBTC: 28000 HH: 43000 TOTL: 58000

I actually lost the save file reinstalling windows and had to revert back to a backed up one from those, but they're still very bad anyway so I can get them again easily. LS, TOTL, and DOTK have lower scores that that currently because I lost the file.

I know these are terrible but I honestly haven't put much effort in yet (clearly says you)

Hmm, the only advice I can give you currently is to leave the Fairy Council alone, and go to easier worlds for scoring like CF, LOTLD, HH and TOTL. Personally if I was you I'd start with either the Land of the Livid Dead or Clearleaf Forest.

Yeah I'm going to have to really do better on LOTLD, I should be getting over 90000 at least :)

I'm going to get started on it soon enough when I finally take a break from other stuff.

Same here, I want to get more than 105-110K on the playthrough I plan to submit. I have other scores I want to improve on too, but I should wait awhile.

I know I've said this before, but I believe in you and anyone who thinks they can get a good score on this list. I hope someday I can be in the top 50 at least, for a first run.

Well good luck on that. I would recommend windows 7 though since 10 likes to make the game lag sometimes with no explanation. I prefer 10 now for everything else so I'm just fecked either way
