All right, I guess since nobody has answered the bonus question, I'll post the next regular one later today. Maybe it was a bit too difficult...? My apologies.

Well, nobody answered the bonus question, so I'll just move on. You can still answer the bonus question too, though.

That's just playing by the rules :D It's just sometimes hard to estimate what to consider a difficult question.

In any case,

Ehh if I have this right, it’s supposed to be the sound effect that accompanies a word it follows (like a duck would have the onomatopoeia “quack”)

Not sure if it makes sense but...

The Jonster's answer was pretty close and it may even have been correct, but I'm not completely sure what he meant. An onomatopoeia is not necessarily a sound effect or tied into another word; as PluMGMK said, it's a word that sounds like what it means (to use Jonster's example, "quacking" sounds like the action itself, although it's not a sound effect in itself). Thus, I'd say that PluMGMK's answer is correct. Sorry if that was exactly what you meant, Jonster.

Oh, sorry, I meant the literal meaning of those two words translated, but my bad... This is what you get for writing down questions in a high fever  Anyway, I consider your answer correct.

Unfortunately not. It's in northern Italy.

EDIT: You may reanswer if you so wish. If there's no new answers in a day or so, I guess I'll have to change the question once again.
