< wonders have any of ^'s other games had a problem or if it was only that game? < thinks if the PS2 is turned off via the switch on the back during writing to the memory card that it could possibly corrupt it, but < understands that it's already bad enough losing the progress once without it happening again for a second time.

Wait, you can turn off the PS2 without using the switch on the back? If yes, how though? < never knew that but nice! :)

Anyway, it only happened with that game but < hopes it isn't another disc issue since the first copy of Burnout 3 < has ever got was back in Christmas 2017 but then it turned out that there was a scratch on the disc and because of it, < couldn't load any track in Vineyard because the game would freeze on < every time < tried to do so.... resulting in < getting a new copy of the game which is in almost perfect condition and, quite unsurprisingly, < can load any track in Vineyard now. I mean, < would be able to play the game currently, but that would require < to turn off autosave but I mean <'s not gonna beat the game in only one day because that would be really tiring and wouldn't be fun and < wants to have fun and beat the game in chunks but < can't do that due to the problem < already mentioned.

You turn it off by holding down the button you use for turning it on. ;)

< can’t believe there are people who don’t know that.

< thinks the fact that ^^ doesn’t know that means ^^ is learning something new today (well aside school)

< doesn’t know that either but then again < doesn’t have one.

Why did < have a feeling ^ would play the game as soon as it was back online?

Well tbh < used to switch <'s off at the back all the time too as a kid, but that's just as bad as pulling the plug (essentially the same thing). The slim doesn't even have the switch and can only be turned off via that button. But yeah you hold the power/reset button for about 2 seconds and it goes into standby.

It was only for an hour, then < slept for 4 more hours :P

< has 5142 coins now, 2058 to go for Rayman :D

< wouldn't blame ^^ for not knowing that anyway, it's not really a huge deal apart from that it can corrupt saves seeing as the console is being forced off. If the PS2 happens to be writing to the memory card at that time, the file will get corrupted.

< would recommending keeping both cards when you get a new one and copying the save to both every so often as a backup, just to be on the safe side in case it happens again.

But wait, that doesn't turn it off, as far as I can remember it restarts the system if you hold the power button! :|

Anyway, yeah, that's what I was thinking of too (the copying save thing)

Also okay then ^^.

If you press it then it resets, if you hold it then it powers off and the light turns red.

Says < (to avoid breaking the thread rules )

No problem, < hopes you get a card sorted eventually ;)

< is having tons of fun using Rayman in Brawlhalla. All the cool little references to the UbiArt games during his moves are a nice touch. < is considering getting Globox even though it's paid DLC, though the game was free and < is having a lot of fun with it, so < doesn't mind buying a little DLC.

< decided to swap <'s uncle to get <'s older TV back and give him the new one, because the viewing angles and colours weren't as good but he would never even pay attention to that.

< is really happy to see that TV on the wall again and how good the colours are on it :hap:

< has been playing the same game on <‘s Wii whenever < is alone in <‘s house these days. < has greatly improved <‘s racing on Time Trials courses to the point that < sometimes breaks staff ghost records without knowing it, though < is nowhere near as good as those people who set world records by making amazing shortcuts.

< would be very curious to see ^’s ability if < could race against ^ someday. :)

At least ^ is trying to fix it and that’s what counts. ;)

<‘s parents are going to Austin tomorrow for most of the day. < will enjoy playing <‘s Wii tomorrow without interruptions. < will probably go to sleep soon also. <‘s sleep schedule may be more stable than ^’s but < is getting far less sleep than ^ and < thinks that makes < worse off.

Well < did have 3 hours and < knows that < is going to fall back asleep soon anyway so it's not too bad. It's just like < has a nap first, then goes asleep again at the usual ridiculous time but wakes up earlier due to it :P
