I did but it took me a few days to unlock him with the servers going down on Xbox over a glitch.

I used him for a few hours and I like the moveset, but the only thing is that it's very hard to time hits with a charged fist, especially against the faster Legends where people can just charge at you and do the same move over and over.

Rayman looks cartoony in the thrid game. Rayman just looks cute and funny in the 1st. Never played the 2nd one.

Rayman 2 is pretty amazing. To me, it simply has the most interesting story out of the lot, I think it's very ahead of its time for a game that was released in 1999. I'd recommend giving Rayman 2 a go! :)

Can definitely agree that Rayman 2 has the best story, it’s seriously an amazing game!

I personally think Rayman looks cooler and wilder in Rayman 3, though I think he looks much more cute and cartoony in both Rayman 1 and Rayman Origins respectively, though I definitely prefer his Origins look these days. I really like how happy he is, as I’ve said a few times before whenever I see this version of him it always makes me smile. :D

I have a question that's been floating in my head for a while: what's your favourite interpretation of Rayman's personality?
He varies so much from game to game that I find it hard to pinpoint.
Personally, I think he's a chill, brave and kind guy who knows when to be goofy, and when to get serious.

I like the different stages of his personality. I like how he has that whole "whatever" personality in Rayman 3 and also the ridiculously happy one in the UbiArt games where he's really hyper. :P

Rayman 3 was his mildly edgy teen phase.
He's growing up so fast

It still didn't stop him from worrying when he thought Globox crashed the Armaguiddon into the ground. :P

I guess I like him more in R1, seeming a bit more innocent and a bit fased by the situations he's put through, he's really cute. :D

I'd like to hear the opinions of others on this matter. If you own the same Rayman game on more than one platform, do you think it's a waste of money? Someone on Twitter just got me thinking about it, but I think it's nice to have them all especially with all the little differences. Rayman 2 is the main one for differences and even Rayman Legends has different playable heroes too, depending on the version.

I was just wondering does anyone else think it's a waste of money, am I just nuts? :fou2:

EDIT: Phone autocorrected do to so.

Well in a way, Origins is the same on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, but I still own them all. :P

The Wii version is the same too, just a lower resolution of 480p. The Vita version has the relics, so I guess that's a slight change. I like Origins so much that I got them all anyway. Legends has some differences on each platform, such as the zooming feature on PS4, different heroes on Xbox One and the other little differences on Switch and Wii U.

Maybe I'm just a big mad eejit that wants to waste money, all just because I've become obsessed with Rayman.

I wouldn't call a desire to own multiple versions of Rayman games a waste of money in my honest opinion, but I guess everyone's different. Personally I think having an obsession with Rayman is a good thing in ways, and tbh I'm a little of envious to see a collection as big as ^'s, though I'm proud of my own collection also and I'm hoping to expand it one day. :)

Yeah, I looked at it a few minutes ago, as well as Acarr's. It really is incredible to see such large collections as theirs, as well as ^'s. :D

Rayman has the most nuanced personality in 3 I believe. He's still a hero but he's got that Straight Man role as well in the dynamic between Globox, Andre and the rest of the ridiculous world. His reactions to the world around him make him seem more individualized compared to his blander characterization in 2. Regardless of everything though, he still cares about his friend, as seen in the aforementioned Armaguiddon scene and the ending.
