My 8-year old decided to create some Rayman 2 scenes with the McDonalds figures and his other toys. :mryellow:

Very creative, I like it. Has he played the game anyway?

He's playing it right now. I first let him play some levels in my 100% complete save, without any bosses or lum collecting, just to learn the basic concepts of platforming. Once I saw he could beat a fair amount of levels this way, I told him that he must start a new game and play it through. I'm confident he can do it - his skills have already improved greatly, and he will pick up the rest as he advances. :D

That's pretty cool! It's also nice to have people from this generation experience the good era of platform games.

When he beats the plum riding sections of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, his training will be complete. :chinois:

Yep. I vividly remember that after I beat The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire during my first playthrough, I knew in full confidence that I am going to beat the game.

The first time I played through the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, it kind of confused me for a bit. I personally view it as one of my favourite Rayman 2 levels, some hate it though,

I hated it the first time, but it soon became my favorite level. It's hard, but rewarding!

Yeah it took me ages on my first playthrough, but the fact that it's a longer level with more obstacles actually makes it more fun. There's also that mysterious stairway which leads to a wall, but Revolution made it into a crumbled area instead.

Hi guys, I've been searching for a US big box of Rayman 3 for years now. Does anyone know where to find one? Does anyone want to sell one? Maybe someone wants to trade one for a sculpture commission (see my topic in fanworks)?

Hey, I don’t have that but I do have a spare Rayman Bush figure and a coupe spare McDonalds figures if you’d be interested in them in return? :)

Nope, thanks for the offer but I'm only searching for the boxes :D

A rare Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Press Kit CD. Seems interesting if this is legit.

I actually loved that bit, it's a mystery with no answers which leaves it all to your imagination.

Well, the boy just beat The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire today. Of course it took him a long long time, multiple "Try Again"s, and a lot of guidance from me. At some point we had to pause the game at the walking shell segment and resume a day later. Took a lot of patience from both of us, but in the end he did it (and with all lums and cages too), without me ever having to take the controller. It was obvious how his skills improve with every repeated attempt, both on the shell and the plum.

I'm kinda proud of him, since I don't think I had such gaming skills at the age of 8. Then again, Rayman 2 didn't exist when I was 8, and I didn't even own a computer. Kids have it so much better these days. :oops2:

Well, maybe he'll be the first player to actually like that level from the start, as opposing to hating it at first and then growing to love it like the most of us.

I don't think I ever hated it. I appreciated the challenge. :D

He is currently stuck in Beneath The Sanctuary of Rock and Lava. The height control while flying over lava is giving him more trouble than I thought it would.
