< has been binging Code Lyoko today and yesterday. < loved watching this series as a kid with <'s sister. < had no idea back then that the series originated from France, though now that < knows, < is curious to watch Code Lyoko Evolution after finishing Code Lyoko, despite the mixed reviews on its sequel series.

< decided that < is going to buy some older games which are backwards compatible on the new Xbox consoles. It's kind of a shame that the PS5 won't have backwards compatibility other than PS4 games, it would have been nice to have a console capable of playing every Rayman game, including playing Revolution at a higher resolution at 60fps had the PS5 used the same backwards compatibility concept as Xbox.

< had to fix <'s condenser tumble dryer again, the float switch tends to jam and the drain pump can be a temperamental piece of crap. < usually knows it's fucked when the RCD starts tripping lol.

< wonders how old that machine of ^'s is.

< has upgraded systemd from 241 to 246, and not only does it not seem to have screwed anything up (touch wood), it seems to boot faster too! :D

< is always surprised at how early night comes when we go back to winter time. It only takes a couple days to get used to, though.

It's not even that old, it has a Ryzen 3700X, but < is still thinking of more cores/threads for compiling things since some take ages.

< is also on systemd 246. < was on 245 at first though. < does have some issues with glib 32-bit throwing a pcre error (symbols in wrong format) even though < did install the 32-bit version, so < isn't too sure what's happening there.

It only took < a couple days to get used to that since < started doing class work at the park instead and realising when night comes the bugs are everywhere pestering <.

< imagines when DST ends (if that’s still even a thing) < will get used to the change relatively quickly too.

< believes DST ending is what Hunch was referring to, since our clocks had went back by an hour yesterday.

< wonders why they do it at a different time in some places.

< got <'s new motherboard today, it POSTs in 3 seconds instead of taking 18 like the old one did. That means it's going to boot at least 15 seconds faster each time. 15 seconds might not sound like a lot, but when you have powerful hardware and SSDs, a slow POST time tends to be annoying. :P

< thanks ^^, and yeah, < had to put up with really slow POST times for ages. < wonders what's so different between both motherboards that it POSTs so much faster though. < thinks it's mainly related to what they seem to word as "RAM training", but it's odd how this one can just do it immediately instead of going through boot cycles.

Especially on RD when in case that happens, you get ninja-POSTed.

Edit: I got ninja-posted when trying to post this, this makes it even better lol
