What car do you have?

Usually drive a Hyundai Accent when I'm by myself. The family car is a Toyota Corolla.

I have a white Dacia. It's OK for daytime driving, but when I turn on the bright lights, I can't get them back to normal without whacking the steering wheel or doing other shenanigans that just aren't compatible with reasonable driving! It's the stick, it's so unreliable. I already had to replace it once

Since last year, I had the stick replaced again, and then I had to get the alternator fixed after it conked out when I started trying to go back to work. Then shortly after I traded it in and bought a Hyundai Kona EV (also white), which is a much nicer car to drive

I'm vacationing in Italy and we rented a car. Paid for "Opel Corsa (manual) or similar". Got a Volkswagen Tiguan (automatic). In what world is this "similar"? Nice car, but takes a bit of time to adjust to its increased size over what I'm normally driving. I even let them scam me with the collision waiver insurance, just in case.

A friend of mine has a Dacia Duster. He got it cause it was the cheapest in it class, well aware of the brand not being known for its reliability... I wonder if he'll experience the same nightmare at some point.

Aaaaand... they gave me a defective car with a stuck fuel cap door that won't open. It's supposed to be a simple push button mechanism, that works as long as the car is unlocked. Nope! Spent 10 minutes at a gas station with the help of 3 employees and couldn't get it open! Luckily we still have some fuel, but now we have to fight with the rental agency or their emergency service provider. Luckily we're not stranded anywhere, but it's annoying.

Yeah, something might be broken, it’d release if you pushed on it. Mom’s Seat Leon has it the same way too.

Yes, this is super annoying. The thing to push on is hidden inside and access to it requires disassembling a great deal of stuff either outside or inside the vehicle. Best thing? Service centers, dealerships and everything is closed in Italy on the weekend, so we are stuck doing it ourselves or waiting till Monday (which requires shuffling vacation plans around).
