Tonic Trouble (Retail) Widescreen Binaries

Post by Garo »

Been meaning to release this for months now but I never had the energy or time to do it, cough school cough.

But putting that aside, here are some widescreen binaries for Tonic Trouble (Retail). Simply find the .exe that matches your display resolution and aspect ratio, then rename the .exe to "TonicTrouble". Replace the original "TonicTrouble.exe" in your game directory with the widescreen one, the default location for the game directory is "C:\UbiSoft\Ed". I would recommend backing up the original "TonicTrouble.exe" in case you want to revert back. Then once you launch the game, go to "Options>Video" and set your resolution to 800 x 600, then click "Validate". Congrats! You can now enjoy Tonic Trouble in glorious widescreen!

If you encounter any issues make sure under the "General" tab in dgVoodoo that your "Scaling mode" is set to "Stretched, keep Aspect Ratio" and under the "DirectX" tab your resolution is set to "Max".

Credits to AuToMaNiAk005 for figuring out the method of enabling widescreen for Tonic Trouble (Retail).

For some reason Windows Security detects the binaries as viruses. To bypass this simply go to the Windows Security protection history and allow the file to be on your PC, then redownload it.
