< says automatic car washes are pretty neat. < doesn't have to get out of the car and just chills while the car goes through the conveyer belt. Afterwards < can use the much better vaccuums that are usually there to clean <'s car of any gunk that might be there. Not that < doesn't like doing it <self but < admits < is not the best at cleaning things, let alone <'s car.

.............

< thinks it's quite refreshing when older members show up, < says hi to neo and everyone else who showed up today. :)

< also thinks it's nice that people who have been around in the community for a long time show up again. A lot of them were even here long before < showed up to RPC.

< Also enjoys the automatic car wash. < Didn't want to deal with exiting the car more than necessary, now I can't wait to find one where I can pay through an app making it as easy and convenient as possible and I'm sold. < Will freely admit < is too lazy to clean <'s own car.

< Is also happy to visit RaymanPC again, it is always like coming home. It is nice to see that through time, Rayman PC has remained while other forums have just died out. Discord really did kill most of them.

< says hello to Steo and the Jonester as well. :D

< hasn't really played many modern games as of lately. < was recently playing Conker's Bad Fur Day on Rare Replay on <'s Series X. < thought it was a really fun game, and < also found the end a little darker (but very true) than expected. < wishes games were still like this nowadays, they had a lot of charm even without the multiplayer element.

< says hi to neo! :hap:

< is going through <'s usual grinchy phase about being sick of hearing "Christmas" ads on the radio and TV in November. :pfff: < is starting to understand this grinchiness a bit more this year: by the time Christmas really does come around, < is so sick of the bombardment with commercial messages that it's harder than it should be to enjoy the real thing.

< also read last year that once upon a time there was a tradition of "Long Christmas", extending past the end of December into much of January. Whereas now, because the celebrations always start so prematurely in November, you basically have to forget all about it after January 6th (or earlier) and go back to work. Honestly, that sucks. :|

< guesses it started dying out in the nineteenth century, judging by this paragraph the article I linked:
As social historian Nick Groom, points out, it was Victorian businessmen who decided that Christmas should finish on Twelfth Night, to get everyone back to work. There’s a legacy of that Scrooge mindset in the grim insistence that Epiphany is when the decorations come down.

Yes, and that's all wrong. The Epiphany (aka Nollaig na mBan in this country) is on the 6th of January, and people even seem to think I'm weird for always taking holidays up to that day instead of just going back to work in the New Year. :|

So Scrooge is the reason why long Christmas stopped? Huh guess he really is a villain as they say then

< reminds ^ to speak with the arrows

The Epiphany is a very typical tradition here in Spain, so Christmas lasts until January the 6th. Of course, there are people who are still working during those days, but if they have the opportunity, most of the people take their holidays up to that day. < always remembered Christmas to start on December the 8th, the day when you decorate the Christmas tree, but it's true that < has seen Christmas decorations even in November and people starting to celebrate it this month! < really likes Christmas, but < finds a bit weird to celebrate it on November.

Oh no, now < fears that Plum will become the grinch that stole Christmas.

< Agrees with Dave's statement there, plus Apple has made it harder and harder for independent repair shops to repair their products. Louis Rossmann's channel is all you need to see in order to get a good idea of that.

< is glad Dave was able to meet up with friends, it is great and very rewarding. < saw Neo twice now.

Also < needs to stop procrastinating and get to cleaning around the house a bit today. Especially since next week is Thanksgiving week here in the US.

< Feels this is really the beginning of the down hill of gaming, at least mainstream AAA title wise. Luckily for you, < feels Steo can play quality modern games made, as the focus going forward will be on live service games. Sony tried to bring out 12 live service games, and now that there has been failure (including with Bungie and Destiny 2), they are going with 6 live services games. The standard for making money as a videogame company will be live service, and for anyone else that wants to make a game that people will love, I'm sure there will be a vacant spot to fill. At least for indie games, I'm sure they will still put love into the games. This is a good thing for <, because < has a backlog of games. However, < feels that remakes will still fill the niche of quality gaming, just rehashed. < Already purchased Super Mario RPG Remaster! < Is not sure when < will play it, < might try to finish the original first.

< says hello to Plum as well! < manages to avoid the grinchiness because < doesn't really watch the news. < probably should, but this allows < to be able to enjoy life and not be too stressed. However, this leaves < really uninformed with the situation in Isreal. < Can only give light speculation, but that's as much < will be willing to give. < Thinks the problem is that there is less focus on Thanksgiving and more on Christmas at this time. <'s birthday usually falls on that day, sometimes not, so it would be nice to see some focus. Oh well, < will be enjoying Turkey and Cake. At least that is the usual, < had too much cake from <'s sister's birthday (Oct 29th, and she did join the board a while back), so < asked for meat pies instead of cake this year.
