Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've been meaning to replay the Ratchet and Clank series again and also finish Full Frontal Assault and Into The Nexus since those are the only Ratchet and Clank games I have never finished. I bought the Ratchet and Clank trilogy on PS3. I'm going to start playing the first Ratchet and Clank.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I saw this fascinating YouTube video yesterday about a remake of the original Narbacular Drop as a Portal map-pack:
So now I've dusted off my copy of Portal (metaphorically!) and am playing that map-pack

Wait what?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
It’s a joke, since Pokémon Trainers start their journey aged 10. Since Magelin has never played a Pokeymans game before, she’s comparable to these new trainers.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I find it more amusing that your referred to the series as Pokeymans.
But yes I was making a reference to the fact that most Pokémon trainers apparently start at 10 and it was Magelin’s first time.

Oh boy, Psychonauts!EdgeRabbit wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 11:37 pm Friend gifted me pyschonauts! Pretty good game so far! But my back is killing me from bending over...
I played that one a while back, but was really bummed out when I realized the last level was the nerfed version because I was playing on the Xbox...One I think? Pah. Didn't think anything would be different if I was playing the Xbox disk on another console, but I was wrong!
By the way, little heads up here: There was this one figment in Black Velvetopia that I looked everywhere for, only to find it in a basketball hoop in the sewers.
But yeah, good luck!

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm fairly certain I was playing the nerfed version of , I played the PC Steam release.
Was still really painful, I'm grateful Pyschonauts 2 wasn't quite so brutal. That level does have a really good track though.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm a bit too old fashioned for the sequel, myself. Still, I know people had been waiting forever for it, so I was still stoked anyways. Went all the way to a friend's house and was like "Guess what got a sequel!" I just had to rub it in their face, since they called the original "ugly" when I showed them it the 1st time, so that was a bit of petty revenge for me.
I would figure the 2nd game was a lot easier though. That's uh...Probably for the best. The 1st game ain't easy work. At least, I wouldn't call it easy. To be fair it's quite old by now.
Also uh, Edge...You DO know that you have to attend Basic Braining, right?

So when you get done torching everything, was it the giant censor, or the level itself that got you?
My memory is a little hazy, but I believe gathering 9 PSI cards, and a buying a PSI-core and putting them together should give you another brain on your mental health bar. (Though that might have something to do with your PSI rank!)
Also, get some dream fluffs from the shop at the camp's lodge to give you another shot when you run out of health, if I remember right, they should refill your health when it bottoms out.
You're gonna need to pick up a LOT of those purple glowing arrowheads, I'd suggest getting the Dowsing Rod from the lodge shop to find more valuable arrowheads so you can get other stuff faster.
Like I said, it's kinda fuzzy, so I might be a bit off or spot on.

Does anyone have any good early-game Elden Ring grinding spots? Because I’m currently grinding at the Gatefront Site Of Grace and I think it’s rather slow.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
You can carry up to 3 dream fluffs, that's basically 3 extra lives, in a roundabout way. It should help, but once they're used up, you gotta go buy more at the camp lodge shop. So you might wanna pick up some arrowheads around Whispering Rock for a bit if you're really struggling. It's a bit boring, yeah, but even if you don't need them for dream fluffs, there's plenty other stuff in the lodge shop to save up for.
Still, when I was playing Psychonauts, I'd have 3 dream fluffs at all times just in case...Can't hurt to have a little safety net if you can't grab some mental health pickups in time.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Original post 6 May @ 9:13 AM IST:
I'm playing the Half-Life series again…
I started with the Uplinked mod for HL1, which I hadn't played since August 2022. That time, I wasn't aware of the infamous problem where the music stops during any level load when playing a mod, so I was quite annoyed to discover that… This time, I patched the Game UI DLL myself to remove the offending behaviour, which made for a better experience
But I ran into a different problem where after the game's been running for a while, the music stops working altogether – probably something to do with the disk I/O slowdowns I've been getting, which I think are due to a dodgy SATA cable…
Now I've started HL2, playing the 20th Anniversary Update for the first time, and trying the new official developer commentary track, which is pretty interesting. I've been trying to quick-save less, and so far I've only had to break that rule once, but I'm still only at the end of the first day…
New post 12 May:
So since this exists, I'm finally giving Half-Life Alyx a try! Obviously not an ideal way to play, but the mod authors seem to have done a really good job adapting it to a non-VR setup, since I'm still finding it immersive and interesting!
(Though I wish they'd provided a way to adjust mouse sensitivity in the mod
) Running on "Ultra Fidelity" settings but still getting decent performance out of my not-so-new hardware…

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Any thoughts about the Half Life 3 rumors?
___
PS Plus included Balatro as one of their free games. I'm not a big fan of poker, but damn, this game is addictive af. The roguelike component makes every game extremely interesting.
I'm also going to start Elden Ring soon.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Which rumours in particular? I've been at this a long time, so I stopped paying attention to any such rumours over a decade ago!
