- I’m dreading a new iPhone tbh. I’ve probably got one of the last phones to actually use the home button so I’ll have to adapt to using the swipe instead

Yeah that's something I will have to get used to, but it shouldn't take more than a few days.

I feel like I'm one of the few people who actually likes gesture/swipe-based navigation. Most of the folks I know with Android phones stick with the old 3 onscreen buttons layout, rather than the newer swipe methodology.

Maybe once I get used to it I'll like it. I do know a lot of phones actually copy what Apple does with the whole swipe down from the top right or top left to show either notifications or quick settings. Even my Dad's budget Huawei seems do to this.

Ah yes, I forgot how excited you were for the iPhone X, it's funny to think phones had notches and now they've got punch holes instead.

I guess everyone will view this stuff differently, but personally I prefer the punch holes to the notch. It takes up less screen space and the apps usually workaround the fact that it's there in the first place. My current phone (before I get the new one) also has a little punch hole for the camera, but it's not in the centre, it's on one side. The iPhone though will have a bigger one in the middle because I guess it has more sensors etc.

That’s exactly it. You have the front camera, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, Face ID dot projector, flood illuminator and the IR camera used for Face ID

Wow that's a lot of sensors in that one little area then when you think about it haha. So it's not really that big of a space being used if they are able to fit that many sensors into it.

I have to admit that I adapted to this relatively quickly and I actually don't mind this now. The only time this became an annoyance was when the screen was zoomed in and that was because I made the silly mistake of allowing to tap with 3 fingers. Man I hated when I would accidentally zoom my screen and have no idea how to return the screen to normal and somehow didn't realise how that worked for months

- Allergies are starting to flare up, and I've been neglecting the antihistamines.
+ Seems to be a bit cooler today though I've read it's still due to get a bit warmer in the afternoon

Nooooo I hate allergies!!! Thankfully the month where mine flare up is well over so I don't have to worry about those anymore.
- Been very busy lately with other things, so been really out of it with things I was taking care of here. Gonna try and get at least one thing done today.

Dude i used to be additced to those AIs (expect for bfs).. from my exprience these really pray on peoples loneliness and they pull them in with the promise of a friend thats always avalible. its terrible and i wouldnt recomened even trying it out!
