Green Day are actually very good live. < doesn't think every band is really that great when it comes to live performances, but < would say Green Day might even sound better live than on studio albums.Greengoop wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 6:40 pm < made a Green Day Studio Playlist, a Green Day Live Playlist, a Nu Metal Playlist and a Pop Punk Playlist today.

< heavily agrees with this! < says that Brain Stew Live In Prague 1996 sounds dozens of times better than the studio version, and don’t even get me started on Paper Lanterns.Steo wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 3:38 am Green Day are actually very good live. < doesn't think every band is really that great when it comes to live performances, but < would say Green Day might even sound better live than on studio albums.
< wonders if ^ has ever been to a Green Day concert?

This is <'s 22222nd post
<'s been to one! And < agrees, they sound excellent live. Their studio production is already excellent, but they excel in a live context, like any charismatic rock band really.Greengoop wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 7:00 am< heavily agrees with this!

Re: The You Game!
< thanks ^!!!
< went in 2009-2010 if < recalls correctly, it was during their tour after 21st Century Breakdown released, which is actually <'s favourite album of theirs, it's so lush and creative, there's nothing else that really sounds like it, and literally every song on it is good and memorable enough to be a lead single. < loves their previous albums too though. < didn't really care much for Revolution Radio, it's pretty bland aside from one song < thought was pretty cool. < hasn't listened to anything since then. < should check out the two newer albums, though < isn't expecting a whole lot.Greengoop wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 7:45 am< wonders if it was before or after they started with their Hey-Ohs?if the latter, what did ^ think of ‘em?

Re: The You Game!
< agrees with ^ about 21CB being their best album. That and American Idiot really draw away from that punk style of theirs and use real innovativeness. <‘s listened to the whole album of 21CB before but < doesn’t own it physically, sadly.
< thought RevRad was nice as well but it was weaker than all albums they released before 2012, I<o.

Gratz!
< went cycling today, and < got a headache from the heat.
< took a shower because < thought it would make things better. But honestly, < is just not feeling good at all these days. < wants to slam < head into a wall right now.
< is going to eat some strawberry ice cream. Maybe that will help..

< sees ^ is drawing near to 6k posts!

< also wishes everyone happy Bloomsday!
< has been struck by the realization that, since the system is isolated-neutral, this could actually be a "cross-country fault", caused by cracked insulators or cutouts on two completely separate poles miles apart, with fault current flowing through the earth between them. Outages would only occur when both poles happen to short at the same time… If that's the case, no wonder they haven't been able to track it down…PluMGMK wrote: Sun Jun 15, 2025 8:43 pm < is bemused that power outages are getting more and more frequent around hereTwenty minutes last Saturday morning, twenty minutes yesterday evening, and twenty minutes again this evening.
