< has seen some maths games in the past actually. < is going to be honest and say that < would actually find a maths game fun.

< is sure that < used to play a maths game on an old NES clone. < wonders if there may be some modern equivalent of this, even if the idea is just to do some addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Prodigy is an online MMO that uses math in a rpg style game. It’s actually pretty entertaining, < has found < self learning more from the website than in normal school. Honestly, to anyone who has kids that struggle with math < would suggest the website. It has been a game changer in <‘s life.

< did get out the calculator for the first item. < Has discussed <'s thinking and spoilered to not give things away.

When < put 3/25 in a calculator, < got 0.12. Through which < realised that 1/25 is 0.04. Thinking about it, that fraction could be converted to 100ths by multiplying the top and bottom by 4, giving 12/100, that's a lot easier to then work with if you know how place values (in base 10) work, as that's 0.12, or 12%.

The other two < thinks is a little easier if you know how units go, since then it's just 4/1000 -> 0.(0 tenths)(0 hundreths)(4 thousandths) -> 0.004 or 0.4%. Likewise thereafter for 2/10000 -> 0.(0 tenths)(0 hundreths)(0 thousandths)(2 ten-thousandths) -> 0.0002 or 0.02%.

< suspects that it may have been the intent to put this exercise into practice after you've learned about place values and converting fractions in different forms. As such, < think there might be a chance this is intended to be done without a calculator.

< has found < self learning more from the website than in normal school.

< doesn't want to discourage anyone when it comes to the school system, but the system never worked for <. < always found to be better at learning things through other methods, whether it be hands on (practical experimentation), or simply just looking into things on the internet and reading them.

< for example never learned anything about computers at all in computer class, and < only learned how to touch type when < was about 28-29 years old, by using one of those websites to practice with <'s fingers in the right position "ASDF JKL:". < learned everything about computers outside school, aside from some of the most basic stuff (such as shutting down).

< just functions like that though. <'s grammar even improved by far after school, just because of actually having to type a lot more often. All the punctuation and ruling just came to < naturally by doing so. < probably would have typed in all lowercase with no punctuation at all around the time < was in school, despite writing on forums.

Though really, < doesn't want that to come off as a way to discourage anyone from the school system, maybe people can just learn different things outside of school depending on the subject, and < definitely thinks the system doesn't work for everyone (which makes sense, we are all different at the end of the day).

< is at the opipion that the school system wasn't made for us neurodiverent kids because before the 90s we were mostly put in mental institutions or seen as "disrutive" if we weren't dianosed with something that server. < wishes we got more services.

< learns better when people tell what < to do, or through books. < is learning how to make Web graphics through a 1996 guide < found on the internet archive.

< does suppose neurodivergence plays a factor. < really did show heavy signs of ADHD in school and it really didn't work for <, maybe that explains it to some extent. < never did get any formal diagnosis though, but < does understand why the system may not work so well in such cases. < does really prefer to learn things on <'s own.

Weirdly though, < was told that < never crawled. < just got up at some point and started walking, skipping the crawling phase entirely. Some people say skipping crawling isn't good. < is not sure why, but < thought that was kind of interesting.

There is nothing wrong with liking a Maths game haha. < even enjoys just sitting there sometimes with a sudoku book. Call it boring if one will, but < likes it.

< is the oldest of <'s siblings. <'s aunt was also very much like <, we have a lot of the same disablities. < wonders if its a genetic thing. and < wonders why it only happens to the oldest sisters?

< isn't sure how it works and whether it's genetic, but it's kind of strange how it seems to occur in patterns. Even for <'s cousins, the older cousin doesn't have any neurodivergence, however, her 3 younger sisters were all diagnosed with autism. The oldest autistic one is very different from the other two, she's just very quiet and keeps to her own devices. The other two are really hyper and seem to be in a world of their own quite a lot. It's very interesting how vastly the spectrum varies, and it's also strange that all 3 of those ended up with neurodivergence, while the older sister didn't. < wonders what even goes on there for it to make sense.

From <;s understanding, autism tends to run in <'s family. For example, <'s aunt and <'s other "mom" (She was only diagnosed later in life). < is almost certain <'s own grandma also has autism, but < cant seem to get her to get tested. Shes 66.

< feels like a lot of older people generally don't believe in things like this, even though they are real. So < thinks plenty of older people just refuse to get tested for this reason.

< wouldn't be against even getting tested <'s self, though the issue is that it's quite expensive over here just to get a formal diagnosis. For this reason, < just basically gets on with it, even though < does have some symptoms of both ADHD and autism.

<'s mom literally fought for <'s dianosis, and that's why < was dianosed at 2. < wishes other autistic girls and women got the chance < got. <'s adoptive cousin was only recently diagnosed with it!

Man if only it worked like that, if ooonly… < knows that DHT is responsible for turning off scalp follicles but is curious if it plays a role in turning on facial ones…

< has looked up laser hair removal in the past, it is relatively expensive though. It's one of those things which are easier said than done. Not to mention other limitations, < has heard it doesn't work for certain hair types, due to the absorption of the laser by the hair follicles being limited, like with white hairs for instance. < believes ginger hair is another one where it's not very effective.

< does have dark hair so in theory it should work well…

< was told by <'s friend that it might cost over 5000 euro or something just to get a diagnosis, which if true, is ridiculous. <'s friend also never got the formal diagnosis, but they had to see a therapist at one point over some problems they had, and the therapist was telling them they seem to have several symptoms of autism.
